Important Notice: PSFDH Experiencing Critical Capacity Pressures

The Perth and Smiths Falls District Hospital (PSFDH), like many hospitals in our region, is facing severe capacity challenges due to a shortage of inpatient beds. Our Emergency Department is working tirelessly to provide care, but patients will be prioritized based on the severity of their condition. This means longer wait times for non-urgent cases.

***If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 911 immediately. Paramedics will provide care and transport you to the nearest emergency department if required.***

We ask for your patience and understanding during this critical time. Our health care teams are doing everything possible under extraordinary pressure. Please treat all staff with respect and kindness. Your cooperation helps maintain a safe environment for everyone.

The Perth & Smiths Falls District Hospital - Corporate (PSFDH), like many other hospitals across the region, is under significant capacity pressure due to a shortage of inpatient beds. The Emergency Team assesses every individual and prioritizes care for the sickest patients first. As a result, some ER patients may experience longer wait times.

**If you require immediate medical help, please call 911. Paramedics will assist and transport you to the nearest emergency department if needed.**

As always, there are certain expectations when you attend the Perth & Smiths Falls District Hospital - Corporate.
