Hey there sunshine! ☀️
After much consideration I have decided to take a break from now until September. Without having a work space it has become difficult for me to keep organized, plan and to be consistently here.
So I will be taking the summer to prepare my office space, to get myself organized again and get my sh*t together.

YES!!!

Going outside on a daily basis for a minimum of 15 minutes a day can help your mental health and reproductive health.

☀️Going out and catching those morning rays can help with better sleep
☀️Can Boost your mood and decrease stress hormones
☀️ Catching those rays can increase your vitamin D levels which can increase hormone levels that regulate cycles and ovulation production.

Do you think going on restrictive diets or cutting out food groups will help with your fertility?

Oftentimes we see others suggest eliminating a food group like dairy or carbs to help with fertility support.

Sometimes cutting out a food group or going on a restrictive diet can do more harm than good. Only those with allergies or food sensitivity should eliminate food groups.

Instead you should focus on balancing your blood sugar. Balancing your blood sugar helps with insulin levels which helps with your fertility.

How to balance blood sugars:
Include Whole Grains instead of white bread or pasta
Add lots of veggies and fruit to your plate
Add a lean protein like chicken
Add healthy fats like avocado or yogurt
These should be included with every meal ☺️

Did you know your thyroid plays a vital role in your reproductive health. So what's the difference between Hypothyroidism VS. Hyperthyroidism?

Hypothyroidism is a common condition where the thyroid does not create or release enough thyroid hormones into the bloodstream causing your metabolism to slow down.

Symptoms include: Weight gain, sensitivity to cold, fatigue, irregular cycles, dry hair, hair loss, brain fog and depression.

Hyperthyroidism is a condition where the thyroid produces / releases too much of the thyroid hormones into the bloodstream causing a hyper active metabolism.

Symptoms include: Weight loss, rapid heart rate, anxiety, irregular cycles and sleep issues.

Did you go on birth control in your teens and now think about starting a family some day? 🤔

It can be a scary time coming off of birth control, especially when you have been on it most of your reproductive life. But it doesn't have to be scary.

You just have to learn to understand what your body is telling you. And to be patient as your body begins to heal. This can be done by tracking your cycle. It gives a visual as to what is going on with your hormones.

Trying to conceive can be a lonely process especially if you are the first one of your friends trying to start a family, or have been struggling to get pregnant.

Here are a few tips to help you feel less alone during your fertility journey

1️⃣ Create a Support Team- this team can be friends, family and health care providers that you trust and you know will provide you with support

2️⃣ Ask your Partner to Join In- You don't have to be the only one eating healthy, exercising and taking supplements. Your partner can join in with you and it will help improve their s***m quality!

3️⃣ Find a Support Group- Sometimes we may not have the support we are looking for and can get such support from online groups. Using an online group can have its pros and cons but having a little extra support to help you through your journey is okay.

1️⃣ Get the proper tools needed such as basal body thermometer

2️⃣ Learn the signs of ovulation: cervical fluid changes & change in BBT

3️⃣ Take your Basal Body Temperature everyday when you wake up and keep track

4️⃣ Take a few seconds every time you go to the bathroom to see what your cervical fluid is telling you

5️⃣ Keep track of your BBT, cervical fluid, and any symptoms in a period Tracking App or on paper

Two Words: Stay Hydrated

If you are tracking your cervical fluid and notice it's not looking like raw egg whites consistency when you are ovulating then try drinking more water.

Often when I work with a client I am always shocked by the amount of water they are drinking... It's not much.
And I always encourage them to drink more by using a water bottle so they can have a visual or using a water tracking app to remind you to drink your water.
