Little snapshot of the last three sessions with U13A integrated programs!
Youth Athlete Development (YAD) isn’t about tossing a giant motor on a developing system and see what happens, hope they survive. It’s about creating space and to help the athletes ‘find’ their body, acquire movement and learn to move in novel ways.
Discovering how to move well (more complete ranges) not just fast, creating stillness and fixed points, learning to not just accelerate but also decelerate and understand how their body can move in a more complete way is not just injury prevention, but performance enhancing!
And yes, we also do conditioning bouts 🙃😉
