For the past several years, I have sought a symbolic artisans's representation of animal of the year as per the Chinese zodiac. There is something special about artisanal creations and the energy they imbue - a touchstone for the year ahead.

2026 is the year of the Fire Horse. I headed to Etsy to find a 'fire horse' art piece and landed on Roman Vovk's Etsy page. Roman Iives in Sweden and creates extraordinary art pieces. I found my Fire Horse!

It's a beautiful, delicate piece, I am so glad to have her be my personal touchstone for the coming year - one of movement, expansion, abundance.

When the ancestors speak, they have important things to say, always.

I took a formal intro to the art of SoulCollage this weekend, and am pursuing my Facilitator certification/recognition so that I can share this deeply personal, transpersonal approach with clients and broader community.

In preparation for the Facilitators training, I must make at least 14 cards across the four main categories - my inner sub-personalities and ego and character traits, my loved ones, pets, sentient beings that guide me and beloved folk in my life, my animal guides aligned to my chakras, and finally the archetypes who guide and challenge me.

I say down this afternoon and several cards quickly took form. The three I have posted are all ancestral voices - the matrilineal roots, the patrilineal roots, and the ancestral wounds rising to be healed. This process is powerful and empowering!

I look forward to offering group therapy offerings grounded in this practice, both online and in person, as well as a Gene Keys infused approach in the new year. This is empowering soul work, and also fun, and provocative and growth-inspiring!
