Hello Again! We've been a little quiet here on social as we've been as busy as elves behind the scenes, planning out 2026 programming for you! However, we wanted to take a moment out to share with you some important news!
In the last couple of years we have seen a steady uptick of attention to the fertility and perinatal period. All of the work that communities are doing to raise their voices is creaing change!
In the recent days two new developments have been announced:
UPDATE #1: The World Health Organization released the first-ever set of global guidelines for the treatment of infertility. The guidelines provide evidence-based recommendations addressing prevention, diagnosis, a focus on equity, treatment, and psychosocial impact.
We are excited to see how this will trickle-down into our national and local communities to hopefully create the medical, financial, and social support systems that people have been so deeply needing.

UPDATE #2 Health Canada approved the first-ever pill to treat postpartum depression in Canada. Zuranolone - already approved in the UK, US and by the EU - is a once-daily pill to be taken orally for 14 days geared to women dealing with moderate to severe PPD. While SSRI antidepressants have typically been used (with psychotherapy being the first line of treatment), this medication touts a quicker onset and targets different mechanisms believed to regulate mood.
