💛 Day One of IITC 2026 was absolutely AMAZING! 💛

What a wonderful first day at the International Indigenous Tourism Conference here in Edmonton. My heart is so full!

Today was filled with so many beautiful moments—catching up with business friends, meeting new people, and building new relationships. I’m so grateful for the connections being made and the energy in this space.

I also did a one-minute pitch with ITA… I didn’t win, but I still feel so proud for stepping up and doing it! And a huge thank you to Travel Alberta for sponsoring all of the pitchers. That support means so much.

🌹✨ And the best part… my Wild Rose Nipiy was a HUGE success today!!
The excitement, the feedback, and the love I received made my heart burst with joy.

I even got an autographed book today (such a special surprise!) 📖💛

We ended the evening at the welcome reception with music, delicious food, and the most wonderful conversations with amazing ladies.

I am exhausted… but I’m sitting here with the biggest grin on my face. 😄

Thank you to everyone who made today so memorable. I’m so grateful to be here and can’t wait for Day Two!

I can hardly believe it… the International Indigenous Tourism Conference (IITC) is officially here, and I am so happy (and honoured) to be attending!

Today we were at the vendor market setting up our booth, and we are bringing some exciting new items that I can’t wait for you to see!

🌹 Launching tomorrow: Wild Rose Nipiy — our newest premium flavoured water
🌿 Also available: Wild Mint Nipiy — our first flavour and a crowd favourite

Come by and sample a taste… and take home your very own can (or cans)!

As we get ready for the International Indigenous Tourism Conference (IITC) Feb 17–19, I’m reflecting on how far Dragonfly Spirit CreeAtions has come… and I feel so proud. 🥰

This past year has been full of beautiful growth — opening a second tipi location in Nisku, launching our Farm & Food Trail experience, working with the Little Warriors program, and launching my Wild Mint Nipiy at the National Group of Elders.

We’ve also helped create over 600 medicine bags and over 100 drums, travelled to amazing places for conferences and workshops, and met so many incredible artisans and collaborators along the way.

Last year I was honoured to be a finalist in 3 awards, and this year we are nominated again for Business that Launched a New Experience. I am truly grateful.

On this Valentine’s Day, I want to thank my family and especially my husband who supports me and keeps me grounded. 💖

Valentine’s Day isn’t just one day… it’s all the days we show love in every form.

To be recognized alongside so many incredible Indigenous tourism operators and businesses from across the country is truly something special. There is so much talent, passion, resilience, and cultural strength represented in this group, and we feel deeply grateful to stand among them.

This journey has been built with love, prayer, and purpose—guided by the teachings of my ancestors, the wisdom of my grandmother, and the support of community.

Indigenous tourism is more than travel… it is story, connection, healing, and honoring the land. It is sharing who we are in a good way.
