Spring Equinox arrives tomorrow — the exact point where light overtakes dark.
Day and night stand equal.
Stillness and stir meet at the threshold.
We’re moving from Water (winter’s deep, quiet holding) into Wood — the element of spring, the Liver and Gallbladder meridians, the energy of rising, planning, vision, and flexible growth.
Wood doesn’t burst out fully formed.
It pushes against frozen ground, cracks ice, bends without breaking.
That push can feel like frustration, impatience, anger, or stuckness when things don’t move as fast as the impulse inside wants.
This is not wrong.
This is Wood doing its work: transforming stillness into direction, discouragement into hope, rigidity into adaptability.
Even when I’m not teaching right now (body still healing from injury), the season keeps speaking.
The transition from Water to Wood is happening inside us whether we step on the mat or not.
So if this week feels like friction — old anger rising, impatience bubbling, vision flickering but not yet clear — know you’re right on time.
You’re not behind.
You’re in the honest middle of change.
A few soft ways to meet Wood this week (no mat required):
*Place a hand on your sides (Liver/Gallbladder area) and breathe into the ribs — let the breath create space for what wants to rise.
*Whisper on the exhale: “I am allowed to be both still and growing.”
*Notice one small thing you want to move toward — no pressure to act, just name it.
The light is returning.
We don’t have to be perfect at this transition — we just have to keep breathing through it.
With love from the threshold 💚🌱❄️
