This can stand for many things in the here and in-and-in the now not just environment not just what surrounds you, not what's around you, not what you hear. not what you see.. but what deep in side of you.
Do you feel unsteady..be steady.. If you feel distracted be still..

This is a time of the wood element. This is the time of spring. The emotion is a little unsettling. Can be a little filled of aggression. This is a nature at the wood element that detoxing element of spring helping to bring up. What needs to be Let go and through the practice of difficult feelings or changes comes. Joy, comes happiness. But we need to sit with these things just a little bit, and in the practice of yin, we do that...

Yin Yoga is not just a relaxing practice. It's not just a recovery for after your harder workouts or practices Yin Yoga is hard and challenging. It's not easy. We go beyond the muscles and go deep into the body to nourish ..

We just don't practice Yin Yoga. We live it every day, and every season we flow into it. We practice the art of flowing with the seasons....

Practice Yin with me Saturday at 6:15pm at Mvmt+ Yoga Collective

Spring Equinox arrives tomorrow — the exact point where light overtakes dark.
Day and night stand equal.
Stillness and stir meet at the threshold.
We’re moving from Water (winter’s deep, quiet holding) into Wood — the element of spring, the Liver and Gallbladder meridians, the energy of rising, planning, vision, and flexible growth.
Wood doesn’t burst out fully formed.
It pushes against frozen ground, cracks ice, bends without breaking.
That push can feel like frustration, impatience, anger, or stuckness when things don’t move as fast as the impulse inside wants.
This is not wrong.
This is Wood doing its work: transforming stillness into direction, discouragement into hope, rigidity into adaptability.

Even when I’m not teaching right now (body still healing from injury), the season keeps speaking.
The transition from Water to Wood is happening inside us whether we step on the mat or not.
So if this week feels like friction — old anger rising, impatience bubbling, vision flickering but not yet clear — know you’re right on time.
You’re not behind.
You’re in the honest middle of change.
A few soft ways to meet Wood this week (no mat required):
*Place a hand on your sides (Liver/Gallbladder area) and breathe into the ribs — let the breath create space for what wants to rise.
*Whisper on the exhale: “I am allowed to be both still and growing.”
*Notice one small thing you want to move toward — no pressure to act, just name it.
The light is returning.

We don’t have to be perfect at this transition — we just have to keep breathing through it.
With love from the threshold 💚🌱❄️

Last week I fell and sprained my left sternoclavicular joint — the little bridge where collarbone meets breastbone.
It hurts more than I expected. Every breath, every small movement, every turn of the head reminds me how connected everything is.
The SC joint is quiet in most yoga classes — we rarely notice it until it speaks.
When it’s injured, it asks for something very specific:
no pushing, no reaching, no loading the front chest or shoulders.
It asks for deep listening instead of doing.
So I’m learning (again) what yoga really means when the body says “not today.”

Yoga Nidra and Shavasana body scan , Breath meditation are helpful right now..

Much Love ❤️

🔥🧘‍♀️ TONIGHT’S DOUBLE HEADER: METKON ➜ YIN GLOW MAGIC 🧘‍♀️🔥

Tonight we hit BOTH sides of the spectrum —
Fast & Furious Metkon ➜ Deep, Soul-Melting Yin.

The perfect wind-up then wind-down that your body craves and your mind needs.
We lift the heart rate, burn it out, sweat, grind, push through —
… and then we drop into stillness, breathe deeper, soften the edges, and let the entire day melt right off the mat.

There’s a special kind of magic created when you blend intensity with intentional calm.
🔥 Strength.
🔥 Stillness.
🔥 Balance.
It’s the wellness formula that leaves you lighter, grounded, and completely renewed.

If you’re joining us… get ready.
If you’re thinking about it… this is your sign.
Mondays we transform.
