Have you heard this before?

“The person who loves walking will go further than the person that loves the destination.”

Wherever you find yourself on your journey today, remember to focus on one step at a time because how you get somewhere is often more transformative and powerful than where you end up. Drop a ❤️ if you’re one step closer than you were yesterday.

Want more energy & less cravings? 🍬🧁

Then protein at breakfast is a must! Breakfast quesadillas and one of my favourites for a quick and easy high-protein breakfast.

I use rice wraps because I’m gluten-free (no because I want to be because I have to be) but you could bump the protein up even more by using a whole-grain wrap.

Protein helps you to feel full, stabilizes blood sugar, reduces cravings and helps you get through that mid morning energy crash.

BBQ Pork Tacos with Kimchi-inspired Coleslaw.

Last week it was around 27° in my kitchen and waaaay too hot for cooking inside.

These quick tacos came together in about 15 minutes - basically, the amount of time it took to make the coleslaw while the pork was on the grill and the corn was boiling.

Kimchi Inspired Coleslaw

*4 cups of shredded cabbage & carrots
*1/4 cup rice wine vinegar
*1 tsp sesame oil
*1 tsp ginger
*2 Tbsp brown sugar
*1 tsp hot sauce
*2 tsp avocado oil

I also remember there was kraft cheese (in a blue packet) that was stored on the grocery store SHELF and not in the fridge compartment.

How do you make ice coffee on a hot day even better?

Chocolate protein powder for the win.

I had a late breakfast so I wasn’t really hungry for lunch, maybe a six out of 10 on the hunger scale. I didn’t want to skip lunch though as I know I’d be starving by 3 o’clock.

Protein powder added to my ice coffee is the little boost I need to get me through the next couple of hours.

This would also work as a perfect snack in between main meals.

Iced chocolate coffee

🧊1 tsp decade instant coffee
🧊2 heaped Tbsp chocolate protein powder
🧊oat milk
🧊ice cubes

You can be greatful, and disgusted, and proud, and disappointed, and be an ally, and not know all the answers but be willing to learn and listen, and be happy to be free, and want more, ALL at the same time. 💕🇨🇦.

Spread some love today, to everyone, to those who don’t agree with you and those you don’t agree with. More listening, more love, more togetherness.

Here’s a quick little reminder that you don’t need to be perfect and sometimes, dinner doesn’t need to be elaborate!

It’s quick and simple here tonight and my kids think it’s amazing that they get subs for dinner. Win for me! 😁

Meal-prep truth. It’s gonna get messy!

Yesterday I had a ton of fun in the kitchen with over 40 people who signed up for my online freezer prep workshop (you can still download the recipes by clicking the link below if you’d like to simplify your weeknight hustle) and you know what, it looked like a bit of a bomb in my kitchen afterwards.

However……for me, it’s totally worth it. We spent 60 minutes in the kitchen prepping together and then I turned on my favourite podcast and spent the next 20 minutes cleaning up.

This investment in time means that I’ve now got six healthy, delicious meals ready to go in the freezer for when life gets busy during the week - and the bonus, there’s hardly any clean up afterward.

Happening Today at 11am!

There’s still time to get organized and join-in.

If you can’t join live, you can still sign up and download the recipes and shopping list and then watch the replay and prep the meals when you have time.

We’ll be making:

Chicken and Sausage Jambalaya
Spiced Cauliflower and Chickpeas
Korean-Style BBQ Beef

The ideas is to get a few meals prepped ahead of time and then add them to the freezer. Then, on busy weeknights. All you have to do is pull them out and pop them in the slow-cooker, Instant Pot or cook on the stove top for hustle-free healthy and delicious meals.

Come and join me for our next live Workshop Sunday, April 3rd and I’ll share with you how I make 6 delicious, healthy freezer meals in 60 minutes.

I’ll send you the recipes and a complete shopping list ahead of time so that we can prep together during the workshop.

You don't need any special equipment other than maybe a notepad as I'll be sharing lots of helpful meal planning and prepping tips along the way.

We will be making:

*Spiced Cauliflower Chickpea Bowls
*Korean BBQ Beef (perfect for tacos, burritos & bowls)
*Chicken & Sausage Jambalaya

All meals are prepared as 'freezer meals', so you prep them ahead of time, freeze them and then put everything into the slow cooker for quick and easy meals during the week (I’ll provide cooking instructions for alternative cooking methods such as Instant pot and stove top cooking).

If you can't join live, don't worry. I'll be uploading the workshop so that you can watch it and complete the meals in your own time.
