The holidays and lots of social gatherings go hand-in-hand. If you’re grieving, these invitations can be tricky to navigate. Letting go of expectations might be just what you need. Give yourself a time limit, arrive early when there are fewer people, or skip it. Honour your limits.

Be sure to talk to friends and family about how you feel. The holidays will look and feel different, and that’s okay.
