We are excited for Lily Dias joining Peak Experience starting this week!! Lily works with individuals and couples.

Those that connect with Lily’s style are those that are “looking for a space to slow down, make sense of what’s happening beneath the surface, and gently work towards meaningful change”.

Lily is working in person on Wednesdays and Thursdays including evening availability on Thursdays as well as virtual appointments.

Something I get to talk about just about every day in my work is the struggle of finding love…and for this big question, I don’t believe anyone has the answer. What I do know, is when we walk our own genuine path, create calm connection and fulfillment in our relationship with ourselves we have a much, much greater chance at recognizing love when it appears on our path.

I walk or run the same loop trail almost daily (mostly because my dog insists) and today, on an especially meditative walk, I noticed this rock that I’ve probably stepped on 1000 times before (literally). But today, in an especially mindful space it caught my attention, enough to pull my hand out of my pockets, take a picture and think about the role of love in our experience of being human.

Who is 988 for?

It's for everyone.

There are multiple ways to get in touch. When someone calls 988, they're first presented with a menu. Children, teens and Indigenous people are among those who can choose to access services specifically geared to them.

Everyone is susceptible to struggle and many of us will be in situations where we are managing overwhelming hopelessness, loss, exhaustion. 9-8-8 is available 24/7 if you’re in a tough mental spot. Don’t hesitate to call.

I feel so fortunate to get to meet so many of these very special humans. Humans who do incredible work to shift intergenerational patterns and heal traumas that they have inherited. These people are changing our world just by taking responsibility for things that were not their fault or wrongdoing. These people inspire me and give me incredible hope for humankind. Thank you to everyone who has the bravery to turn around and face the hard things in life and to heal the traumas that have accumulated throughout time. ♥️

Our world is coping right now with serious conflict, political unrest, and social upheaval. I know how this makes it challenging to maintain a sense of stability and hope.

Today is a day of remembrance, but today might also be a day of struggle for so many. We can reflect on unrest of our past and the sacrifices that lead to peace. But, as the unrest and injustices of our world are active and peace feels so far off in our present times, today might be extra heavy.

It’s important to take care of ourselves when the hopelessness and grief get overwhelming. It might take intentionality to help your nervous system regulate. Time in nature, moving our bodies, crying, connecting with others, even mindful breathing. It’s also ok to take breaks from exposure. Create social media/news breaks. It’s not ignorance, it’s preservation.

So, on such a heavy day, in very heavy times, please take care of yourself and if you have capacity, take care of others.
