I didn’t learn about burnout from a book. I learned it from my body.

I’ve burned out in ways that forced me to stop.
Vertigo. Dizziness. Ongoing tinnitus.

My nervous system didn’t whisper anymore, it shut me down.

What I learned the hard way is this: BURNOUT ISN’T THE SIGNAL. IT’S THE LAST RESORT.

So many of us keep going because we can.
Because we’re capable. Because we’re used to pushing through. But fight–flight can make you feel “fine” long past what’s sustainable.

You don’t have to wait until your body says no.
That doesn’t need to be the lesson.

We can prevent burnout by listening earlier, zooming out, and asking whether the way we’re living actually makes sense for a human nervous system.

I created Before Burn Out: Listening Before the Body Shuts Down as a gentle, practical guide for people who push through.

I swear by this practice.

I start my day with intention. Directing my attention to healthy, self-loving thoughts, rooted in gratitude. I know the power of intentional “I am” statements. The more I think these thoughts, the more I can embody them. I steep my mind in the qualities I value, who I know I am, the best version of myself. This practice helps me regulate, ground and show up with more confidence and presence in my life and relationships.

Change your thoughts, change your energy.
This is one of the simplest ways I do that.

✨ Calling In: Your Highest Self

Ever notice how you show up in relationships —
chasing closeness, pulling away, shutting down, or feeling stuck in the same patterns?

It’s not random.
It’s your nervous system doing what it learned to do to stay safe.

✨ From Survival to Security is a new attachment-focused workbook I created to help you understand why you relate the way you do — and how to gently move toward more secure connection over time.

This isn’t about fixing yourself.
It’s about understanding your attachment patterns with compassion, awareness, and nervous-system support.

Inside the workbook, you’ll explore:
• Attachment styles & nervous system responses
• Protest and distancing behaviors (and why they make sense)
• A relationship history inventory to uncover patterns
• What secure attachment actually looks like
• Core beliefs formed through early attachment
• Gentle practices to support earned secure attachment

This guide is slow, reflective, and trauma-informed — designed to be used at your own pace, with or without therapy.

💛 You’re not broken.
You adapted.
And adaptation can be softened with safety and awareness.

I have found an increase in demand for in-person sessions and wanted to add an extra day in addition to Thursdays in Squamish at Squamish Counselling Clinic.

Three years.

Beginner → Intermediate → Advanced.

Countless hours of learning, practicing, receiving my own somatic experiencing sessions, deep consultation with advanced practitioners, humility, patience, and trust in the body’s wisdom.

I completed my Somatic Experiencing training in 2022, and after finishing my consultation hours in my own time, I’m officially a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (SEP) ✨

This work has changed how I understand trauma, regulation, safety, and healing. It’s not something we just “think” our way through, but something we listen to, feel, and gently restore from the inside out.

Grateful. Grounded. So proud of this milestone. 🤍

✨New Resource✨

When Anxiety Shows Up is a trauma-informed anxiety workbook designed to help you understand and regulate anxiety through the nervous system.

This 30-page digital workbook offers a gentle, body-based approach to anxiety, combining psychoeducation, somatic practices, parts-based reflection, and practical worksheets. Rather than trying to eliminate anxiety, this workbook helps you respond to it with greater awareness, safety, and self-trust.

You’ll learn how anxiety shows up in your body, how anxious thoughts and sensations interact, and how boundaries and self-trust support nervous system regulation. The workbook includes grounding practices, body mapping, parts-based exercises, and a personalized Anxiety Care Plan you can return to when anxiety rises.

Move through the workbook at your own pace. You don’t need to feel calm to begin.

I created this guide because creativity is my lifeline.

When I’m disconnected from creative expression, I notice I feel more fatigued, low, or less connected to myself. Returning to creativity helps me come back into my body, my emotions, and my sense of aliveness.

Creative Expression for Emotional Support is a gentle, trauma-informed guide designed to offer space, structure, and permission to express what’s happening inside—without pressure to analyze, perform, or “get it right.”

It includes intuitive creative prompts and an optional guided Arrival audio (Noticing the Breath) to support grounding before each invitation.

This isn’t about fixing yourself.
It’s about offering your inner world a place to land.

Sleep isn’t just about rest, it shapes how we regulate emotions, manage stress, and feel safe in our bodies.

I created The Science of Sleep because so many people struggle with sleep and assume they’re doing something wrong. Most of the time, it’s not willpower… it’s biology, nervous system regulation, and rhythm.

This booklet breaks down:
• how sleep actually works
• why anxiety, stress, and trauma disrupt rest
• how habits like light, caffeine, alcohol, and food timing affect sleep
• what truly helps (without rigid rules or pressure)

It also includes a gentle 7-day sleep reset and a daily sleep habits guide you can return to anytime.

This is a science-informed, trauma-aware resource designed to help you understand your sleep and not force it.

What is Response Art and why is it so powerful?

Response art is a creative arts therapy approach used arts therapy and creative arts therapy. Rather than creating art with a plan or outcome in mind, response art invites you to respond — to your day, your emotions, your body, or an inner experience — through creative expression.

It’s one of my favourite processes I learned during my master’s training in creative arts therapy. I was so drawn to its depth, simplicity, and ability to access insight without overthinking that I developed Embodied Response Art — a drama therapy–informed intervention designed to support therapists in processing their own internal experience post-session.

Response art is powerful because it:
• bypasses analysis and intellectualizing
• supports emotional and somatic processing
• offers insight without pressure
• helps regulate the nervous system
• gives form to experiences that are hard to put into words

Different materials support different needs:
– Pens and markers can feel more contained and controlled
– Paint, watercolour, or chalk invite flow and emotional expression
– Clay supports the release of emotional and physical tension
– Movement allows the body to lead
– Photography offers containment and distance

When paired with gratitude, response art becomes even more grounding — helping orient the nervous system toward what is supportive without bypassing difficult emotions.

That’s why I created the 21-Day Response Art & Gratitude Journal — a therapist-designed daily practice to help you slow down, reflect, and begin the year with intention.

You don’t need to be artistic.
You just need to be willing to listen inward and get creative.

A Creative Practice to Begin the New Year with Intention

This 21-day journal offers a gentle, creative way to reflect, regulate, and reconnect with yourself as you move into a new year.

Rooted in creative arts therapy, this journal guides you through a daily response art practice paired with gratitude journaling. Rather than focusing on insight or analysis, response art invites you to express your inner world through drawing, writing, movement, photography, clay, or any medium that feels right in the moment.

Each day includes:
• A brief before-and-after check-in to notice
emotional and body-based shifts
• Space for intuitive creative expression
• A simple gratitude practice to anchor awareness
• Gentle structure that supports consistency
without pressure

You do not need to be artistic to use this journal. This practice is about presence, curiosity, and allowing expression to emerge naturally.

Designed by a Registered Clinical Counsellor and Creative Arts Therapist, this journal supports emotional awareness, nervous system regulation, and habit-building over 21 days.

Perfect for:
• Starting the new year grounded and reflective
• Building a daily creative ritual
• Processing emotions without overthinking
• Supporting mental and emotional wellbeing
