EXCITING NEWS!

We will be maintaining business as usual in St. Peters, and growing by adding an additional location in Port Hawkesbury.

Samantha's calendar will be open soon for clients to book for May 2026, Dana's calendar will open shortly after her graduation is finalized.

We are both so grateful to be able to serve clients in both in the St. Peters and Port Hawkesbury areas!

Currently accepting new clients!

The student clinic, with Dana, is still running until the end of April. Although availability is limited, if you need free counselling services, you still have time to receive approx. 10 sessions (if done weekly) before the free clinic ends.

December Calendar and Availability:
There is still space to book for the first time or re-book before heading into Christmas. I recognize that Christmas is not a merry time for a lot of people, for a lot of different reasons. If you feel like additional support may help get you through the holiday season please reach out.

Samantha will be out of the office from December 23-January 5th.

General Updates:
The free student clinic will be re-evaluating availability in the new year, and if you are interested in free therapy services you can email samantha@keystone-counselling.com to add your name to the waitlist.

Samantha is currently participating in training to better support perinatal mental health. The perinatal stage includes pregnancy, postpartum, and the early years of parenting. Another important focus is providing care for those navigating pregnancy loss and infertility.

Many clinics will see a rise in client numbers around this time due to colder weather and shorter days. Many people experience a spike in symptoms related to anxiety and depression, but you don't have to experience it alone. Don't be afraid to reach out and prioritize your mental health over the next few months.

EXCITING UPDATE:
Dana has completed Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) training. This approach helps people understand, accept, express, and transform their emotions to create secure and healthy connection, with oneself and others.

DETERMINING INTEREST:
We are considering hosting group information sessions regarding some topics that are more commonly experienced. These topics may include: parenting groups for adolescents with anxiety or managing ADHD as an adult.

This is a post for anyone who is contemplating trying therapy, either for the first time or somewhere new! Fall and winter tend to be busier for a lot of clinicians, and if you're interested, now is a good time to reach out before caseloads fill up (especially if your schedule, either due to school or work, isn't super flexible!).

Dana has been the absolute best addition to Keystone Counselling! The free counselling program is such a wonderful asset to the community/surrounding areas! Additionally, Dana does offer virtual services and can see clients across Nova Scotia. There are still a few spots available for new clients!

Samantha has re-added an extra in office day since summer has come to an end and now has availability for non-evening clients!

For some, it is intimidating to take the first step and reach out but we would love to answer any questions through a free consultation call to make to process easier and more comfortable!

EXCITING NEWS:

Starting in September, Keystone Counselling will be adding a new team member! I am incredibly overjoyed to introduce Dana, as well as a FREE counselling program. This program offers services to anyone (10 and up) who do not have insurance.

My goal was to find a way to make counselling more accessible and adding Dana can make that happen. Additionally, Dana will be gaining the counselling hours necessary to graduate and become a registered counselling therapist and practice locally!

Include your name, age, contact information, and general reason for attending counselling. Someone will be in touch in early September to complete the intake process and book your initial session.
