I wanted to share an update for April regarding the clinic.

I am currently in recovery and actively rehabbing my back. While I am making steady and positive progress, I am not yet at a point where I can safely return to treating. At this time, I’ll be continuing my closure through April to fully focus on healing and ensure a safe and sustainable return to work.

My goal is to be back in May, feeling stronger and able to provide the level of care you’re used to receiving at Little House.

I sincerely apologize to those—especially new patients—who have had their initial appointments impacted during this time. I truly appreciate your patience and understanding.

If you would like the opportunity to book an earlier appointment upon my return (if availability allows), please ensure you are added to the online waitlist. This will be the best way to access any openings that may come up.

Hi everyone,

I wanted to share a quick update. I’ve now been off for two weeks due to a pinched nerve, and while I was really hoping to be back (even part-time) by now, I’m unfortunately not there yet. I’m still dealing with significant pain, limited standing tolerance, and very disrupted sleep.

As much as I miss being at the clinic, it’s not realistic for me to return just yet. I’ll need to remain closed for another week, and will be cancelling appointments a few days at a time as I continue to monitor my progress.

I’ll be reaching out to affected patients individually. At this time, I’m unable to reschedule as my calendar remains fully booked ahead.

Thank you so much for your patience, understanding, and continued support while I focus on healing.

Hi everyone 🤍

I wanted to share a quick update on where I’m at with my back injury. I’m currently on day 8, and while I’m starting to notice small improvements each day, the pain is still quite intense. I’m still only able to sleep in short stretches (about 10–15 minutes at a time), and I’m not yet able to bear weight on one leg due to neuropathy.

It’s clear I still have a bit of a road ahead, but I’m staying optimistic and focusing on the little gains as they come. I have a beautiful team of healthcare workers around me - so I can promise I am doing all the things!!

I’ve been getting a lot of messages about returning to treatment, and I truly appreciate your patience and support. While I continue to recover, I highly recommend connecting with some wonderful practitioners in our community who are currently accepting new patients:

I wanted to share an update that I will be cancelling all appointments for the week of April 6–12, as I remain on medical leave and am not yet able to return to treating.

I just wanted to take a moment to say thank you for your patience and understanding while I take some time to recover from my back injury. Your kindness, flexibility, and supportive messages truly mean so much to me.

In the meantime, I thought I’d share a few simple ways you can give your body a little “at-home massage” between treatments:

• Gentle heat therapy – a heating pad or warm bath can help relax tight muscles and improve circulation
• Tennis ball release – place a tennis ball between your back and a wall, and gently lean in to work through tension spots
• Foam rolling – slow, controlled rolling over larger muscle groups can mimic some massage techniques
• Light stretching – especially for the neck, shoulders, and hips—nothing forced, just gentle movement
• Deep breathing – slow, intentional breathing can help reduce overall tension in the body

Remember—this isn’t about “fixing” anything, just supporting your body and creating a bit of space and ease while we’re in this pause.

I’m writing to share an important update regarding the clinic.

Due to an ongoing back injury, Little House will be closed for at least one week at this time. There is a possibility this may extend to two weeks, as I need to allow proper time for rest and recovery.

This has been an ongoing issue since November, with a flare-up in January that has now become quite debilitating. In order to return safely and continue providing the level of care you expect, I need to take this time to properly heal and prevent further re-injury.

Unfortunately, this means that all appointments scheduled during this period will be cancelled. And, I will not be rescheduling these appointments, as my schedule is already significantly backlogged following previous closures related to illness, injury, and weather.

I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this may cause and truly appreciate your understanding, patience, and continued support.

Once I am ready to return, I will reopen my schedule and welcome you to book at a time that works best for you.
