Are you a transitioning military member or Veteran interested in a career or employment in the Public Service or Private Sector?
The Veterans Employment Unit (VEU), within Veterans Affairs Canada (VAC), is organizing a three day virtual career and employment opportunities event.

Join us from 23 – 25 March for a webinar series featuring over 30 presentations to hear firsthand from those actively seeking to hire Veterans to fill in their ranks.

You will learn about programs and services that you may qualify for, like Career Transition Services and the Education and Training Benefit. You’ll also hear from companies and organizations like Ibiska Telecom, ADGA and CAE to learn about what they do and the job opportunities they currently offer.

This is your chance to access our employer database and talk with recruiters. Ask your burning questions and see what career options are open to you. Once registered, a schedule will be sent to you by email closer to the event.

There will be opportunities presented for all ranks and all trades (see agenda below).

Once the series is over, you can connect with employers interested in hiring Veterans, follow up with your resume and set up interviews. Ask your burning questions and see what career options are open to you. Once registered, please familiarize yourself with the Pheedloop platform. Additionally, presenters will have information including contact emails to receive CVs as well as an option to book meetings to discuss submitted CVs.

Presentations will run from 1030hrs – 1600hrs Eastern on 23 – 25 March. Each organization will have 20 minutes to present followed by 10 minutes of Q&A.

We are sharing important changes to the Veteran Family Telemedicine Service (VFTS), effective February 9, 2026.

The VFTS provides Veterans of the CAF, their families and/or survivors who do not have a primary health care provider with access to Maple, a national virtual care network of licensed physicians and nurse practitioners.

Eligibility for the VFTS was expanded to include all Veterans of the CAF—not just medically released Veterans—their families and/or survivors. Also, the service now offers two years of access for new users and an additional year for current users.

Veterans of the CAF who released on or after April 1, 2025 and their family members as well as surviving family members of deceased CAF members who died on or after April 1, 2025 are eligible if they do not have a regular primary care provider (excluding walk‑ins) and do not have access to cost‑free virtual care services in their jurisdiction.

Eligible CAF Veterans, family members and/or survivors have until March 31, 2027, to register for the service.

The Veteran Family Telemedicine Service is funded through Veterans Affairs Canada in partnership with Canadian Forces Morale and Welfare Services.

April 7th, 2026

This April, Canadians from coast to coast to coast will come together to “Teal Up” — honouring the resilient and strong children of our service members. These remarkable young people stand behind our service members with strength, adaptability, and pride, embodying courage in their own unique way.

On April 7th, 2026, communities nationwide will raise the Teal Up flag, marking the official start of Teal Up Month — a month dedicated to recognizing, celebrating, and supporting military-connected children and youth across the country.

From city halls and schools to military bases and community centres, flags will fly high in teal as we unite in gratitude and awareness. This collective gesture reminds every military child that their sacrifices and resilience do not go unnoticed.
