10/11/2025

October 10th is World Mental Health Day. This year’s theme highlights access to mental health services during catastrophes and emergencies. Strong communities are essential to good mental health, before, during and after an emergency or disaster. CMHA-NL understands the critical importance of weaving mental health skill-building into all aspects of our lives: home, work, school, and play. Community-based mental health organizations like CMHA-NL help do just that.

This Fall CMHA-NL is launching the Resilience Project to support members of our communities impacted by the Kingston and Holyrood wildfires. Education and training to support mental health resilience and su***de prevention will be offered with no charge to community members, first responders, children and youth and anyone else needing support in these geographic areas. Please check https://cmhanl.ca/community-lifelines/ for ways to participate. πŸ’š

We are grateful for our partnership with Government of Newfoundland and Labrador which support CMHA-NL’s important work.
