Our Therapist Chris wrote these. Hi I’m Chris. I bring a deep understanding of clinical practice and trauma-informed care.

Throughout my career I have focused on ensuring services are delivered with compassion and cultural sensitivity, while working through complex and sensitive cases.

I am currently providing virtual counselling to adolescents and adults focusing on a holistic and client-centered approach.

My professional experience has touched on extremely private and intimate issues and allows me to be comfortable engaging in conversations that are extremely difficult and sometimes touch on very dark areas of life.

Using Cognitive-Behavioural, Solution-Focused and Narrative Therapy, I will assist clients as they work through issues that are impacting themselves and their families.

I am a Registered Social Worker (MSW, RSW) with the Newfoundland and Labrador College of Social Workers and have over 30 years of experience supporting children, youth, and families across Newfoundland and Labrador.

With a Master of Social Work and a Bachelor of Social Work from Memorial University of Newfoundland and Labrador, I bring a deep understanding of clinical practice and trauma-informed care.

To anyone struggling with ADHD today, I feel you. Days like this happen. It's okay.

If you believe this we need to rework this narrative.

That narrative is not true. That narrative is a negative core belief that you’ve been taught your entire life by a society that was not built for the neurodiverse brain.

We need to rewire and rework these narratives so that you can find the love and the relationships that you deserve

Hot take for Social Work Month:

If you think social workers just do paperwork and help with benefits… you’re missing most of what we actually do.

Social workers see the whole picture. We look at the context nobody else is asking about.

We bring clinical training AND a lens for how power, trauma, and inequality show up in someone’s life.

In Newfoundland & Labrador, social workers are registered professionals and we follow a Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice.

The RSW designation matters because it protects the public from people who want to do “therapy-ish” work without real accountability.

This year is bigger than usual for us too!

2026 marks 100 years of the Canadian Association of Social Workers (CASW).

That’s a century of social workers showing up in hospitals, schools, community agencies, private practices, crisis lines… everywhere people need more than a diagnosis and a prescription.

To every social worker in NL asking the hard questions, holding space for messy stories, and refusing to treat people like problems to solve:

We see you. We’re proud to carry this legacy forward.

Happy Social Work Month. 💙

k. = I have been rejected, judged, and will now be thinking about this for 48 business hours.

If this is you, here’s the reframe:

Most messages don’t have a tone. People are just really busy and your nervous system doesn’t know better so it’s just trying to keep you safe.

If you caught yourself spiraling today, try this:

1. Name it: “This is anxiety, not evidence.”
2. Check the facts: “What do I actually know?”
3. Ground: exhale longer than you inhale, even just for 30 seconds.

You’re not too much! Your brain is just loud sometimes.

Womp womp.

I started my own clinic not by following the loudest opinions in the room, but by listening to:

— the version of me who wanted more freedom
— the clients who deserved better care
— the values I wasn’t willing to compromise

Building a clinic from scratch hasn’t been easy.. it’s 1,000 tiny decisions no one claps for but I’d rather be tired from building my thing than anywhere else right now.

If you’re in the “everyone has an opinion” season right now:

Keep your circle small, your standards high, and your ears closed to advice that doesn’t match the life you’re trying to create.

Our Therapist Brittany Stamp wrote these. Hi, I’m Brittany!

Much of my career has focused on working with children and their families, including those experiencing crisis.

I enjoy supporting children and parents through challenging times, and I am committed to creating a safe and supportive environment for the whole family.

I have training in Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), with upcoming training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and play therapy.

I integrate these approaches with other evidence-based methods to best meet the needs of each client.

I’ve been working as a Registered Social Worker in Newfoundland and Labrador for the past 9 years.

I hold a Master of Social Work degree and take a strengths-based, compassionate, and collaborative approach to practice.

If you’ve ever thought, “I’m just really independent”… this might land a little too hard.

Hyper-independence is often a nervous system strategy that learned: asking for help isn’t safe.

If that sentence brings up a lot, therapy can help you understand why this pattern formed and practice new ways of letting support in.

If you’re in Canada and want to explore this with a clinician, DM us a simple 𝗛𝗘𝗟𝗟𝗢 (virtual + in-person in Newfoundland & Labrador) so we can book you in for your free consult.

Single mom. Twins. ADHD

This morning was overstimulating.
And I took responsibility for that.

No blaming the chaos. No blaming my diagnosis.

Just:
“I didn’t show up well. I’m sorry.”

ADHD explains my overwhelm but it doesn’t excuse my behaviour. That’s on me.

Strong parents don’t model perfection.
They model ownership.

If you’re raising kids and choosing accountability over excuses — we might just get along. Comment “HELLO” to chat.
