As part of Pharmacy Appreciation Month (PAM) 2026, the Canadian Association of Pharmacy Students and Interns (CAPSI) has organized a Pill Drop for Saturday, March 21, from 12 noon–6pm at the RNC Headquarters at 1 Fort Townshend Road. Stop by and drop off any expired or unused medications for safe disposal. 🙌

BOOKING APPOINTMENTS AT URGENT CARE CENTRE 
(Jan 19, 2026)

NL Health Services has announced that the new Urgent Care Centre (East), located at 28 Stavanger Drive in St. John’s, is now offering booked appointments.

The booking option opens today, Monday, January 19, with appointments beginning Tuesday, January 20. Going forward, next-day appointments will be available.

Appointments open for booking each day at 11:00 a.m. More appointment times will continue to be added.

Booking options:
- Online through the NL Health Services website
- By text: 1-855-709-8559
- By phone: 1-855-709-8559

Due to high call volumes, booking online or by text is encouraged when possible.

The same phone number can also be used to:
- Get updates when appointments are full for the day
- Check if the centre is unable to see new patients due to demand

People may wish to call or text ahead before arriving.

Walk-in services continue to be offered daily until capacity is reached.

About Urgent Care
Urgent care is for health issues that need quick attention but are not emergencies. Examples include:
- Sprains, strains, and minor breaks
- Cuts, burns, and skin infections
- Respiratory infections with fever or cough
- Stomach illness with vomiting or diarrhea
- Urinary tract infections

Urgent care is not for serious conditions like chest pain, breathing problems, or stroke symptoms. These require emergency care.
