✨ At Lens & LASIK, education is always in focus! 👀📚
Last week, our amazing Ophthalmic Technicians and Patient Educators took part in advanced training on one of our refractive procedures: ICL (Implantable Collamer Lenses). 💡🧑‍⚕️

So what is an ICL? 🤔
An ICL is a permanent—but removable—lens implanted inside the eye to correct refractive errors like nearsightedness, farsightedness, and astigmatism. 👓➡️✨
It’s placed behind the iris and in front of your natural lens, offering crisp, clear vision. 👁️✨

ICLs can be an excellent option for people with high prescriptions or thin corneas who may not be ideal candidates for laser procedures like LASIK. 🙌🔍

Today, we pause in gratitude and reflection to honour the brave men and women who have served and sacrificed for the freedoms we cherish.

At Lens & LASIK by Jackman Eye Institute, we hold deep respect and appreciation for all who have worn the uniform — our fallen heroes, our veterans, and those who continue to serve. We are especially honoured to care for patients who are veterans, and to work alongside team members and care for patients whose loved ones have served.
