This past Saturday, Bill Guiney completed Part 2 of THE LONG WALK—an inspiring journey that began on September 27 and resumed this weekend, taking him from the Witless Bay Fire Hall to Signal Hill in support of mental health services in Newfoundland and Labrador.

We’re honored to be one of the organizations Bill is generously donating proceeds to. Our Executive Director, Amelia, was proud to be there to cheer him on at both the start and the finish of his walk.

Bill and Susan’s dedication to raising awareness and funds for accessible mental health care is deeply appreciated.

Thank you, Bill, for your commitment—and thank you to everyone who continues to support this important cause. Let’s keep showing up for one another with kindness and compassion.

🚶‍♂️ Rain or Shine – The Final Stretch! 🌧️☀️

This Saturday, Bill will be completing the final leg of his walk — starting at 8 AM from the Witless Bay Fire Hall, joined by the Witless Bay firefighters for the first stretch as they head to their training area.

He’s expected to arrive at The Battery Café between 4:00 and 4:30 PM, where he’ll pause briefly to gather anyone who’d like to walk the final 1.5 km with him up Signal Hill.

We’re incredibly grateful to Bill, who will be donating part of the funds raised to our counselling centre, helping us continue to support mental health and wellness in our community. 💚

Let’s cheer him on and show our support — rain or shine! Bill Guiney
