Oh, hi again, Danica here! Certified Kin, RMT and by far my new favorite and most meaningful title: Mama :)
Lil Griffin has been growing like a w**d and making my heart burst with love on a regular basis, and we've been soaking in all of the snuggles that we possibly could over the Winter.
But, as everyone warned me, time is just passing so quickly and here we are in Spring again- and I'm finally ready to get back to the office after the most incredible 4 months away with my new little!
A few things to note: As expected given childcare (or lack thereof lol), my availability will look a little different going forward but I'll be back in the swing of things on May 4th. An email with additional details (and pictures!) has been sent out to previous clients only - please reach out to me via text at my usual number for booking for the time being, online booking will be back again soon :)
It has been a wild season of personal growth, but I can't wait to see what the next, as an official mom-preneur, has to offer :')

There are simply no words to properly convey the energy in these rooms, the expansion that I've walked away with, and the support I've felt from so many other wildly talented and incredible women in business since becoming involved with and her Business Circle (and her other coaching programs well before it was actually called that!).
I've been offering workshops for a long time (even longer than I've had my own practice, actually!) but only recently have I actually fully embraced an Educator title, leading to a new era here at KMTT, providing courses to help others learn at least some of what I've learned in my 13 years experience now.
I have found such incredible purpose in helping others achieve what I've been so fortunate to build- a stable, financially supportive and freedom-providing business that provides valuable health services to others in ways that light my heart up and make my brain itch in the best ways. And I know I wouldn't be where I am without both of these ladies- the best business coach and business bestie I could ask for 🥹
And while I prep for the next era at KMTT in a whole new way, which does involve stepping back from my clinical practice for a period, I know there's so much more magic waiting for me on my return.
Thank you both for everything you've done and continue to do, thank you to all the ladies in attendance for lending their good vibes, and thank you all for your support in making this gal's dreams come true in so many ways you might not even realize

Trying immensely hard to soak in the moments of slow in the midst of a wildly full season of life, which includes a completely full clinical calendar!

I am excited to share a new offering that I have been working on. A series of gentle movement programs designed especially for:

✨ Those living with chronic pain, discomfort or dysfunction.
✨ Adults 60+ or who are new to movement.
✨️ Caregivers
✨ Anyone feeling unsure about where to start.

Come as you are to learn the 101's of safe movement in a supportive, compassionate environment that meets you where you are. My goal is always to help you to build confidence, and rediscover what is possible with a "Can Do" approach.

One of THE MOST FASCINATING exhibits, & open to everyone next weekend!
If anyone is curious about some of the resources I've had access to throughout my education, THIS is one of the highlights (outside the full cadaver lab) that will always stand out to me. An absolutely crucial part of learning to work with the body - seeing it from the inside out. See you there? :)

The Faculty of Medicine is hosting a rare public opportunity.
We’re opening our doors to our Body Works anatomical exhibit, a collection of real plastinated human specimens. The exhibit was created by Dr. Shakti Chandra, a professor emerita and renowned anatomy educator who studied under the inventor of plastination in Germany.
Dr. Chandra will share insights about the plastination process and her groundbreaking work in medical education and community outreach. There will be visual displays, interactive learning stations and a chance to engage directly with the science of the human body in an ethical and educational way.
This is an all-ages event open to alumni, students, educators, families and the general public. It will take place Saturday, Sept. 13 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the atrium of the Faculty of Medicine building, 39 Clinch Crescent.
Free parking is available in lot 27 on levels two and three and in lot 30.

I was going to put together a day-in-the-life clip, but I feel like spying on my wellness break makes more sense than simply watching me do endless laundry :p
Green space.
Water.
Breathing.
Movement.
A sprinkle of business planning.
Reading.
Watching the clouds.
It doesn't have to be complicated.
In fact, the simpler, the better

Throwback to the early days at the Newfoundland Drive office - it might have been 6 years ago, but my approach is still the same!
Movement - in a very yoga inspired era here, which continues to this day
Massage - I've mentioned I love foam rollers, right? Bonus trigger point balls for base of skull!
Mindset - equipping myself with knowledge and actionables to have impact on my chronic headaches gave back a sense of control where sometimes it felt like I had none, and did quite a number in actually reducing the intensity and frequency of said headaches!
If it ain't broke, don't fix it :p
Helping other practitioners amplify THEIR own clients' results is my way of giving back and helping more people, since my clinical caseload has been maxed out for a while :p

What's in your wellness toolkit? Here's 4 things that I love right now (and have for a LONG time!)
HABIT JOURNAL - set your intentions and celebrate your follow through by putting it on paper, you'd be amazed at what this simple reflection can do for turning ideas into action! Ps, the "Dream, Believe, Plan, Achieve" journal pictured was custom created by me 🥰
FOAM ROLLER - useful in more ways than one, rollers are one of my IDEAL tools for both self-massage and mobility work, letting you get SO much from a single piece of equipment. My favs are soft to medium density 3 footers, especially for getting in chest opener techniques 💪
TOPICALS - for those little (or big) aches and pains, these can be a great tool to gravitate to, especially if discomforts are keeping you from falling asleep😴 Biofreeze is a great drug store option, but my office favorite, Deep Blue, is available for special order- PM me for details 😍
PEPPERMINT/LAVENDER EPSOM SALTS - a hot bath with a lil extra dose of goodness in the form of salts and oils goes sooo far in easing muscle and joint pain and stiffness, and letting the brain get in on the relaxation too. Another great drug store find (custom KMTT salts are no longer stocked in office🥲)!
These strategies and MORE are such a big part of my at-home recommendations for continued benefit outside of session time, but it's only a part of the recipe of why my clients thrive with my integrated approach. 😉
Movement, massage and mindset is still the foundation 👌
