OmniGen- AF, pretty sure you’ve heard the name by now! Are you, however, familiar with what it is and what it could do for your dairy operation? A premium nutritional specialty product (NSP), OmniGen-AF has been shown to prevent and control hemorrhagic bowel syndrome (HBS) in dairy cows as one of its four applications.

13 of 16 cows that died of HBS were Aspergillus fumigatus (AF) positive. The growth of AF was halted for more that five hours in TMR in vitro post OmniGen-AF inoculation. This was validated in vivo by the reduction of total cases of HBS from 14 to 2 in an 18-month study on-farm.
