PZ gals🎄🎁🎅we wrapped up our amazing year of providing wellness and care to all of our clients by taking a little time out as a team to celebrate Christmas in the very best way.
We kicked things off with a Christmas Story escape room, stopped in for a visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus, and wrapped up the night with a delicious meal at Bellissimo.

Feeling so grateful for this incredible team of ladies! A perfect way to end the year. 🎄✨

🌿 Get to know our gal Alexis Lazo, RMT! 🌿

Alexis graduated as an RMT from Grant MacEwan University in 2015. She’s a mom to two busy, athletic, smart twin girls & has been a part of the Prairie Zen team for over 8 years 💚

✨ Q&A with Alexis ✨

What drew you into massage therapy in the first place?

“I wanted to work in healthcare because I enjoy anatomy, but also wanted flexibility in life. Best of both worlds.”

What’s your favorite massage to give?

“I enjoy doing prenatal massages because I know how draining it is to grow a human. And I enjoy being part of the journey with the client.”

Fave part about working at PZ?

“I’ve enjoyed working with my clients over the last 8 years. A lot of them have been with me through many different seasons of my life. I enjoy hearing all the stories and just growing relationships through work”

Fun fact?

“I’ve lived in Montreal, Edmonton, Italy and Colorado watching my husband play hockey. But just learnt what icing was after finally paying attention watching my girls play.”

What’s your ultimate way to spend a day off?

“My days off are usually spent in a rink or gymnastics centre. But my ultimate day off would just be a relaxing day at my aunts cabin with all my family.”

Go-to self-care after work?

“I enjoy working out, running, and reading lots of books.”

✨ Swipe to see the history of the PZ building! ✨

1️⃣: Originally built between 1939–1941, this space was first home to the Manitoba Telecom System.

2️⃣: Later on, it became the Manitoba Department of Agriculture office — another chapter in its long history.

3️⃣,4️⃣,5️⃣: On June 15, 2016, an extensive interior renovation began to transform the space into what would become Prairie Zen. 🛠️

6️⃣: Now: Prairie Zen in 2025, with its signature black-and-white exterior (freshly painted in 2023) and the calming energy we’re known for inside.

So cool to see how far this little building has come. Grateful to be part of the Stonewall story!

Meet our next Prairie Zen gal, Tatum!

Also known as “T” or “Tornado Tatum,” she’s our lash tech and a skilled therapeutic RMT who’s been with Prairie Zen since 2017.

Tatum offers therapeutic massage, hot stone, cupping, and relaxation techniques to support her clients’ physical well-being.

Get to know her:

1. She just earned her motorcycle license and bought her first bike this summer 😎🏍️

2. She ran her first half marathon last October and has her sights set on her 4th this October! 🏃🏼‍♀️💨 (follow along 🌪️)

3. She enjoys fishing! Her largest catch on record is a 36” pike 🐟🎣

4. She has 1 older brother who got her into quad racing!🤘🏻

5. Her family has two beloved labs, Maverick and Ryker 🦮🦮

Today was a wheelie great day! 🚲💚
Breanna proudly participated in the RWBB Hike or Bike giveaway — and Prairie Zen was thrilled to donate one of the 7 brand new bikes given away this afternoon!

This lucky little lady from Grade 1 (shared with full parental consent) had her name drawn and pedaled away with a brand new set of wheels! Her smile says it all. 😄

We’re so proud to support our community and help kids stay active and outdoors. 🌿🚴‍♀️💫
