In Loving Memory

BROWN, Norma - Peacefully, at Amica-Stoney Creek, on Monday, October 4, 2021, in her 97th year. Loving and adoring wife of the late Donald and true love of 71 years. Devoted mother to Donna and her husband Maurice Pickard, Craig and his wife Jane Brown. Loving and cherished grandmother to Nathan and his wife Katie Pickard, Julie Brown and her husband Tyson Webber, Matthew and his wife Alexis Pickard, Amy Brown and her husband Will Cockburn. Proud great-grandmother to Brin and Emmett Webber, Caleb and Eli Pickard, Samuel Pickard and James Cockburn. Norma will also be missed by her loving sister Margaret Brown and her many nieces and nephew’s. In 1955, Don and Norma established the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home on Lake Avenue Drive in Stoney Creek. Together, they served their community with compassion and devotion. Their values continue in the legacy of the business they founded. Norma was a pillar of the Stoney Creek community and recipient of the 1992 Stoney Creek Citizen of the Year award for her countless hours of volunteer work with Meals on Wheels, Canadian Cancer Society, canvassing for Heart & Stroke, volunteer driver for cancer patients to receive treatment, St. Joseph Ambulatory Care, and Gospel for Asia. Norma led a life of love, devotion and service to God, family, friends and her community. If there was something Norma could do to help, she was there without hesitation, and a twinkle in her eye. Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Thursday from 5-8 p.m. Due to COVID masks are mandatory and you MUST REGISTER TO ATTEND. A private family funeral service will take place Friday, October 8, 2021, at 10 a.m. Interment to follow at Fifty Cemetery. Please join us via Livestream on the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home page. As an expression of sympathy donations to the GFA World, Stoney Creek, (Gospel for Asia) or charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family. Notes of sympathy and condolence may be left at www.donaldvbrown.ca
