👁️ Signs of Dry Eye Disease
Dry eye is a very common condition that occurs when the eyes don’t produce enough quality tears to properly lubricate the surface of the eye.
Common signs and symptoms include:
• Burning or stinging sensation in the eyes
• Redness or irritation
• Gritty or sandy feeling in the eyes
• Blurry or fluctuating vision
• Sensitivity to light
• Watery eyes (a response to dryness)
Many people don’t realize their symptoms may be related to dry eye. Factors such as screen time, contact lens wear, aging, and environmental conditions can all contribute.
If you’re experiencing ongoing eye discomfort, an assessment can help determine the cause and discuss treatment options to improve eye comfort and overall eye health.
