Q: What is the process for starting therapy with a nurse psychotherapist?
A: You will need to schedule an initial consultation or intake session, during which we will discuss your mental health history and treatment goals. From there, we can determine the best plan for moving forward. This might mean further sessions with me, connecting with another mental health professional, or a combination of my services and other community resources. Because I have been in community nursing for 14 years, I have extensive knowledge about the community resources that are available in our area.
