Last Mountain Pioneer Home 38 bed long term care home in Strasbourg, SK We are owned and operated by the Saskatoon Health Region but managed locally.

Last Mountain Pioneer Home is a 38 bed long term care facility located in the community of Strasbourg, Saskatchewan. LMPH provides 24 hour nursing care, full meal services (as well as Meals on Wheels to clients in the community), laundry, housekeeping, and a wide range of recreational activities. We also provide day care to clients in the community who need access to services throughout the day and respite care for those looking for a longer period of care but not yet ready or requiring permanent admission. This means we benefit from the resources Saskatchewan’s largest health region can offer while still maintaining a comfy, local, home-like feel in our facility. Our home is an extension of our community and it is our hope that residents feel as comfortable in their surroundings here as they did in their previous homes. LMPH operates according to the Eden Alternative Philosophy which strives to create an elder-centred community for our elders to live within. This elder-centred community attempts to address the suffering caused by the “plagues” of loneliness, helplessness, and boredom by creating a human habitat which revolves around close and continuing contact with plants, animals, and children. It is these relationships that provide a pathway to a life worth living for our elders. Please take some time to enjoy our website and blog.
