The body is a dynamic unit of function 💀This means that everything within the body is interconnected. An Osteopathic Manual Practitioner (OMP) uses this concept to assess the whole body looking for the cause of your symptoms, rather than focusing on the symptom itself.

The body is self healing and self regulating 💪🏼 The body has an innate ability to heal itself. An OMP serves to facilitate the healing process by ensuring that all structures are in their proper location and free from restriction.

Structure and function are interrelated 🧠An OMP looks for asymmetries and restrictions within your structure, in an attempt to effect the function. Ensuring that there is proper movement in the tissues allows proper nerve impulses and blood and lymphatic flow throughout the body.

What should I wear during treatment? 🤷🏼‍♀️

The ideal clothing to wear during a treatment is something that is loose fitting or made of a stretchy material. This ensures that we will be able to fully assess all joints and get a clear understanding of your motion potential. It is preferred that you don’t wear jeans or other tight material that may limit your ability to move. Ultimately, the best choice is something that you are comfortable in!

The goal of an Osteopathic Manual Practitioner is to determine the CAUSE of your symptoms. We search for the “why” rather than solely focusing on the effect.

The goal is to help alleviate your symptoms and prevent them from returning by discovering why they were there in the first place! ✨

What is Osteopathy? ✨💀

Osteopathy is a gentle and effective form of manual therapy aimed at restoring balance throughout the body. It is used to encourage the body’s self healing capacity through gentle mobilizations of all tissues and joints.

The goal is to realign your body’s structures and restore proper body mechanics, nerve impulses and circulation of blood and lymphatics.

Ensuring that your body is moving the way that it is intended to, can lead to a reduction in symptoms such as reduced pain, increased energy levels, improved sleep patterns and an overall improvement in your health and vitality.
