If you’re coming in to see one of our Registered Dietitians for Irritable Bowel Syndrome, here’s what you can expect for your first appointment.

If you are able, keep a detailed food and symptom journal before your appointment. Your Registered Dietitian can review this to help identify any food triggers for your digestive symptoms.

Your Registered Dietitian will go through some of the basic changes that can improve digestion.

If needed, your Registered Dietitian may discuss supplements and/or specialized diets for IBS, like a low FODMAP diet.
