Did you know that ADHD significantly affects mental health? In fact, people with ADHD are about 3 times more likely to experience anxiety or depression than those without it.

Why? Living with ADHD often means:

• Constantly working harder to keep up with daily tasks and responsibilities 📝

• Facing stigma, misunderstanding, or criticism from others 💬

• Struggling with emotional regulation and overwhelm 💡

Over time, these challenges can take a toll on self-esteem and increase stress, making anxiety or depression more likely.

By understanding the “why,” we can respond with greater empathy and support, creating spaces where people with ADHD can thrive, not just cope. 💙

🧡 Today, our team wears orange to honour Truth and Reconciliation Day and to recognize that Every Child Matters.

But this day goes beyond wearing orange. Residential schools caused deep and lasting harm, and their impacts are still felt today. Indigenous communities experience significantly higher rates of trauma, depression, anxiety, and suicide than non-Indigenous populations.

As a team, we pause to acknowledge these truths and commit to ongoing learning, reflection, and action. Healing and reconciliation require all of us today and every day. 🧡
