I can’t find who asked this question but thank you! It’s a great one. Systemic Birth control that contains an estrogen helps with bone density too I should say. Knowing if you need contraception or are very bothered by your menstrual patterns is very helpful for your prescriber who can discuss your options with you accordingly.

Start low and go slow. Low strength - 0.25-0.3. Slow application - spaced out just twice a week to start and monitor how your skin reacts. Ensure adequate skin barrier and moisturizer before and throughout use. There are many great over the counter brands.

Maintain or repair the skin barrier AND slow down water loss - important foundation of skin health. Moisturizer right after washing/bathing is the best time. If you have acne prone skin, an oil-free formulation is better. If you have very dry skin or eczema (atopic dermatitis) or psoriasis, you may require moisturizing more than once daily.
