Our first official cohort in The Resilience Toolkit Facilitator Certification Program!! Folks from Central and Eastern Canada, and Oregon, New Mexico, and California finally meeting in person after working together virtually for the last month. This group brings so many diverse perspectives together - nursing, social work, education, mental health, law, criminal justice, violence prevention, physical therapy, yoga, somatic body work, even engineering! We asked hard questions about what does building individual and community resilience really look like when we consider the social and environmental landscape. We had long discussions about how to implement trauma-informed principles in our work together and with our clients. And of course we ate and laughed together. Now they are moving into the clinical portion of their training. We are all excited to see how the learning integrates and our sharing deepens our understanding. Beyond grateful!
