Sculptra is a biostimulator designed to stimulate collagen production, forming new fibrous support structures under the surface of your skin. Its active ingredient is poly-L-lactic acid, which has been widely used for many years in dissolvable sutures. Unlike traditional hyaluronic acid fillers, Sculptra does not add volume to the skin, instead, it works deep under the skin to gradually replace lost collagen over time. As we get older our lower face tends to show our age the most. The folds from our nose to our mouth get deeper, as do the lines at the corners of our mouth….and to add insult to injury, we develop fine lines around and beside our mouth.
This lovely lady was struggling with all the above, so I treated her lower face with dermal filler over 2 sessions to soften and add volume in precise areas to restore a more youthful look.
