Genetics, hormonal changes, certain medications, clenching or grinding, diabetes, smoking, and even stress can all contribute to gum disease — even in people who brush and floss regularly.

🧬 Some people are more predisposed to gum issues, no matter how well they care for their teeth.

TRUTH: Bleeding gums are a sign of gum disease—not something to ignore!

Healthy gums don’t bleed when you brush or floss.

Here’s what bleeding gums might mean:
🔹 Gingivitis (early gum disease)
🔹 Plaque buildup
🔹 Poor brushing/flossing technique
🔹 Vitamin deficiencies or health issues

✅ What to do:
• Brush gently with a soft toothbrush
• Floss daily (yes, even if it bleeds at first)
