Good Evening Everyone!

I hope you weekend was a wonderful one. I just finished watching a spectacular sunset out my windows and am in awe at how beautiful that slow scene plays out. Taking the time to witness such beauty, to remind me, us, whoever that the world is full of wonder. We just need a moment like that to remind us to slow down and appreciate what is in front of our noses.

This week is a shorter week. Tuesday is Remembrance day and one that I hold very deep in my heart. I will be spending my day in deep thought as I remember those in my family who went to war, those who still serve in the Canadian Forces who would put their lives on the line for us to be able to live in the best place in the world.
I am very grateful but always know that what we have is still incredibly fragile. Take a few moments on Tuesday to look at what an amazing place we live in and try to let go of those that would lead us to believe otherwise.

Happy Sunday Yogis!

The joyful days of changing the clocks back! I say that dripping with sarcasm. Those of us that have any fur creatures who do not understand what time changing is, let along a clock will know the struggles! Hopefully all of you have remembered the change before Monday morning rolls along.

This morning one of my wonderful students shared an incredible Youtube video with me. I'm sure all of you know how much I love studies and how science backs what we feel in our bodies when we move. I'm going to share it with everyone and if you have 15 extra minutes there is so much wonderful information on how we age and how to keep ourselves in our homes feeling strong and confident.

What I love about this video is that we already incorporate all of these movements in our classes, in particular the Chair Yoga class. Have a look and let me know what you think. Studies like these can give us a reason to move when we are feeling like not, and these simple movements can potentially keep us from needing a care facility.

Good Evening Everyone!

I hope you are all well and this email finds you well. Lots going on this week in the studio plus the start of the new Pelvic Floor/somatic movement class. I am very excited to put all of my focus on this subject into one class. I am hoping that many of you will feel the benefits of regularly working a part of our bodies that has been hushed, silenced, though of as something that is taboo to talk about, and to see how empowering it is to acknowledge how important this part of our anatomy is.

New Class!!!
This has been a long time coming!

Along with my regular drop in classes I will be adding Somatic Movement AND Pelvic Floor Yoga together on Tuesday evenings starting October 28th.

This is a very gentle class which requires no experience. It is wonderful for Every Body whether you are flexible or not, are experiencing discomfort in your body, or not. This is an amazing way to recovery or to keep your body and mind in a neutral place.
I can not wait to share this with everyone!
All of my drop in classes are live in the studio or accessed at home via Zoom.

Good Evening Yogis!

I hope everyone had a restful weekend. It was nice to finally spend some quiet time at home catching up with all of the Fall chores and taking moments in between to reflect on the past couple of weeks.
I find it is so important to sit with grief and to feel it, breathe through it until it passes, then do it all over again maybe moments, maybe hours later. I have no answers as to the why's, or how's, all I know is that for myself if I bury grief and try to ignore it, it will definitely present itself in a not so constructive way. Everything that we practice together is so incredibly helpful to go through this process.

We have a full week ahead of us with plenty of time to get ourselves to our mats.

Also you will be getting one extra email this week as I announce my new class on Tuesday Evenings. That has gotten pushed to the side for a short period of time.

Good Evening Yogis!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. Although it was not my normal Thanksgiving I was with lots of family and as we said goodbye to a man who was far too young to say goodbye to. It was wonderful to hear of how many people he had touched, supported and brought joy to while he was here. I can only hope that when my time comes that people might feel the same way of me.

Hello Everyone!

Thank you so much for your understanding last week! I am getting better, not back to normal yet but close enough that I will teach this upcoming week. I will still sound like I have cotton stuck up my nose and have a bit of a gravelly voice but the fever is gone and I am feeling so much more like myself.
