We’ve got some exciting news to share! 📣

Maria's Dental Hygiene is moving to a brand-new location—just a short distance from where we are now! While our address may be changing, the same friendly faces and high-quality care you know and trust will remain exactly the same. 🦷✨

To make this transition as smooth as possible, our clinic will be closed for the month of May as we get everything set up in our new space. We’re planning to reopen in June and can’t wait to welcome you back! 🎉

We are delighted to announce that Dr. Emma Loy has joined the Moose & Squirrel team. She is an outstanding addition to our clinic. Please join us in welcoming her to our community. 🎉💕

Dr. Loy completed her medical degree through UBC’s Island Medical Program in her hometown of Victoria, BC, before moving to Edmonton to complete her Family Medicine Residency at the University of Alberta. She discovered her passion for rural medicine during her residency rotations at the Moose & Squirrel Medical Clinic, where she was drawn to the broad scope of practice, the welcoming community, and the exceptionally supportive and collaborative clinic team.

Guided by a belief in equitable access to primary care, Emma is committed to empowering patients to make informed decisions about their health. With a background in journalism and science communication, she loves making complex medical information more approachable to patients. Her clinical interests include procedures, mental health, refugee health, and both preventative and emergency medicine.

When she’s not working, Emma enjoys long-distance running and biking, and is always eager to explore anything outdoors. She also loves spending time with her two fluffy rescue dogs.
