When your aligners are on, stick to water 💧

Sugary and acidic drinks get trapped underneath and can weaken enamel fast. Always remove your aligners for anything else, rinse your mouth with water, then put them back on. 🦷

Think of your teeth like parking spots 🚗🅿️

If you have 10 parking spots but 12 cars, something’s gotta give. Sometimes, removing premolars before braces is the safest way to create space, especially when teeth are crowded or the front teeth are too forward.

It’s not about taking teeth out for no reason — it’s about making room so everything can line up properly and your bite stays healthy in the long run. 😁🦷

Every smile is different. That’s why treatment is always customized.

Aligners vs. Retainers — what’s the difference?

Aligners are used during treatment to move your teeth into the right position. They’re typically worn about 22 hours a day.

Retainers are used after treatment to keep your teeth from shifting back. They’re usually worn full-time at first, then switched to night-only wear, as directed by your orthodontist.

One moves your teeth. The other keeps your smile in place. 😊

Coffee & tea lovers, pay attention ☕️🍵

Love your daily cup? Just a quick reminder: after coffee or tea, rinse your mouth with water to help prevent sugar buildup and stains on your teeth. Small habit, big difference for your braces and teeth! 😁🦷

Every orthodontic visit has a purpose. We check hygiene, compliance (making sure elastics are worn and brackets are intact), and your treatment timeline so treatment stays on track.

Yes! You still need regular dental checkups and cleanings with braces. 🦷
Braces make it easier for plaque to build up, so routine visits help keep your teeth and gums healthy and your smile on track. 😁

Before ➝ After ✨
Overcrowding and high canines can affect both function and confidence—but with the right orthodontic plan, it’s absolutely treatable.

This patient’s smile was transformed by creating space, guiding the canines into proper position, and aligning the bite for a healthier, more balanced result.

What NOT to Eat: Christmas Edition 🎅🏻🦷

It’s the season for treats, but not every holiday favourite is braces-friendly. If it’s sticky, hard, or extra chewy, it can put your braces or aligners at risk.

Happy Holidays from the Happy Orthodontics Team!🎄🧡

Make sure your aligners are fully seated every time you put them in! A good fit = proper tracking 🦷

If you don’t have your chewy, use the thumb push technique — gently press up and down along the edges of your aligners, especially in areas with crowding (those spots are notorious for losing track!).
