Loved being a part of this inspiring event with inspiring women! The main takeaway I took from this co leadership event, is a leader isn’t polished and perfect, a leader really listens and connects, asks questions, accepts when they make mistakes and takes the effort to fix them, invites suggestions, trusts their team by delegating and letting go, not criticizing your team but encouraging and supporting them and being authentic and genuine. Knowing that there is more than enough for everyone and never being afraid of not having enough or not being enough. This can all be applied to all aspects of life including business, personal, relationships and family.

I appreciate all of the authenticity that was delivered at this event which I resonated with deeply and everyone's two cents taught me I don't have to be afraid of anyone's judgement. Just be me!

Whether you’re a stay at home mom, run a business, care giver to a loved one or suffering yourself with a chronic illness (mentally, physically or emotionally), this adds more pressure to life on top of other external challenges. I am sharing a few of my current challenges and what I do to recover so life’s challenges are managed a little easier and I am much less stressed during the process. Sending RECOVERY ENCOURAGEMENT your way, to do whatever makes you feel good and balanced. Think forest walk/bathing, sound bath, yin or restorative yoga, floatation therapy, massage. So many options in our community to choose from. Take time for YOU! And moreso when you really need it. Exercise is an important outlet for sure but when you are low energy and extremely fatigued, listen to your body and do something more gentle until you recover. ❤️

Attended a breathwork and salt ceremony at The Lift with Tina Shaw and friends last night. It was beautiful! We started with breathwork and then ended with a salt ceremony which I obviously loved. Salt is cleansing not just physically but also helps to clear emotions released and any lingering negative energy. It absorbs odors, facilitates quicker healing, cleanses and generates negative ions which our nervous systems and cells thrive on to be happy, healthy and well.

Visiting family in Kamloops and came across a small ski hill, Harper Mountain. It was affordable, nice wide runs, great for learners but also has a variety of blue and black runs. Had lunch in the nice chalet with a real crackling wood fire. Then we got to enjoy this view on our way down the mountain. Gotta love BC! 😍

Being extra mindful when you are exercising, doing something challenging, or pushing yourself beyond your normal limits, can help eliminate or reduce exercise induced pain, prevent injuries when using weaker or imbalanced muscles, and help reduce recovery time.

Stretching in between your workouts as well as afterwards keeps the fascia nice and flexible and can reduce tension. Breathing during your entire workout with slower and longer breaths during your post exercise stretch will increase oxygen levels which will help repair muscles for quicker recovery, calm the mind and relax the nervous system and boost your mood.

Mindfulness is something we want to practice every day but even more so when we are pushing ourselves physically or even mentally and emotionally. It will help you overall, prevent further injury and promote more balance with less anxiety.
