🚧 Construction begins July 28 on Rotary Crosstown Greenway upgrades

The City is starting construction on the Rotary Crosstown Greenway upgrades along Seventh Avenue (between Eighth Street and Fifth Street) as part of our Active Transportation Network improvements to help make Uptown streets safer, greener, and more accessible for everyone.🚶‍♀️🚲 The project includes:
• New protected bike lanes
• A raised crosswalk
• New landscaping and seating
• Tree planting and public realm enhancements

Crews will work block by block over six months (weather permitting). Expect lane closures, parking restrictions, and traffic pattern changes. Garbage, recycling, and access to homes and businesses will be maintained.

Construction hours are Mon–Fri, 7:00 am – 7:00 pm, and Sat (if needed), 9:00 am – 6:00 pm. Please follow all posted signs and detours. Construction updates can be found on our Roadworks page: newwestcity.ca/roadworks
