Our practicum counsellors are master’s students completing their degrees at accredited universities. They’re hand-picked by our director, supervised weekly by a senior therapist, and genuinely gifted at what they do. For $25 a session, you get real support from someone who chose this work on purpose. Available January through the end of April.

Peace Portal Counselling Centre offers a variety of prices for our counselling services. Right now and until the end of April, we are offering affordable rates at just $25/session at select dates and times.

How? Each $25 session is led by one of our practicum students who are in their first year of their masters program. They are directly supervised by a Registered Clinical Counsellor who will provide feedback halfway through your session.

Feeling exhausted lately and not sure if it is stress or burnout?

Stress is usually connected to specific pressures. It often feels intense but temporary. When the situation changes or you get rest, your energy tends to return.

Burnout is different. It is ongoing emotional exhaustion. It can come with detachment, low motivation, and a reduced sense of accomplishment. Rest alone may not fully restore your energy.

Understanding the difference matters because the support you need may look different.

If exhaustion feels constant or overwhelming, talking to a counsellor can help you reset, recover, and rebuild in a sustainable way.
