CPR is a simple, accessible skill that can make the difference between life and death. With essential training, learners can learn to respond confidently in a medical emergency. Now is the perfect time to sign up for a CPR course and be ready to save a life when it matters most.

To start off the month, here are some interesting facts and figures about CPR!

With Halloween on Friday, don't forget your training for caring for a choking child who may choke on small pieces of candy. If the child cannot speak, cough, or breathe or is making high-pitched noises, immediately begin care for choking. Alternate between any two of the following methods until the object comes out: back blows, abdominal thrusts, and chest thrusts. Continue providing care until the object comes out or the child begins to breathe or cough. If the child becomes unresponsive, call EMS/9-1-1 and begin CPR, starting with chest compressions.
