患者，胸悶，心悸，焦慮恐慌，再溫哥華的西醫院都查不出問題，經過我針灸後馬上症狀就消失，我再給他一週藥調養，昨天陪老婆來看診，就告訴我停藥後，也沒有復發，療效快速驚人啊！

CC: 會口渴，想喝冷水，脖子肩膀緊繃，胸悶、氣短、心悸、背痛、交感神經活躍，這個現象已經一個月，天天都有大便，大便沒有很臭，胸口會有燒起來，一團熱氣，個性會會因為有點急躁，本來容易出汗的體質，現在反而不容易出汗，怕熱體質，天天開風扇睡覺，睡到半夜沒有出汗，最近四點鐘會醒來，以前都是一覺到天亮，所以就睡不著，感覺蓋棉被太熱，不蓋又有點冷。不會口苦，沒有口臭，感覺咽喉裡面有壓迫。說話久了就會沒氣，胃口本來很好，現在不太好了，吃太多也會心悸，在一個月前有重感冒過，後面就這樣，之前會喝咖啡多，尿色就會黃，現在咖啡就不喝了，因為心悸，睡前喝水，都不會起來尿尿。
觸診: 手心乾燥
望診: 身高中等，比較偏瘦，臉色比較黑，黑眼圈，牙齦比較暗色。
檢查: 耳孔與肩膀尖峰有差距到十五度以上
脈型: 弦緊數(雙側)
脈氣: 左手聚關，聚尺，尺脈長; 右手也是，四十五度角在關尺有澀點。
舌: 暗紅舌，胖大有齒痕，牙齦暗色。
方: 小續命湯，葛根，茯苓

Chief Complaint (CC): Chest tightness, palpitations, anxiety, and panic attacks
Clinical Summary:
The patient had been experiencing chest tightness, shortness of breath, palpitations, upper back pain, and heightened sympathetic nervous activity for over a month. He reported constant thirst with a preference for cold drinks, tension in the neck and shoulders, and a burning sensation in the chest described as a ball of heat rising. His personality is somewhat irritable. Although he used to sweat easily, he now hardly sweats, even during sleep despite feeling hot and always using a fan. He wakes up at 4 a.m. and finds it hard to go back to sleep, which is a change from previously being able to sleep through the night. He feels too hot when covered with a blanket, but slightly cold without one.
There is no bitter taste or halitosis, but he does feel pressure in the throat. His voice becomes weak after prolonged speaking. Appetite, which used to be good, has declined; overeating triggers palpitations. A month ago, he had a severe cold, after which all these symptoms began. He used to drink a lot of coffee (causing yellow urine), but has since stopped due to palpitations. He drinks water before bed but does not wake up to urinate.
Observation & Diagnosis:
Palpation: Palms are dry.
Visual Inspection: Medium height, lean body type, dark complexion, noticeable dark circles under the eyes, and dark-colored gums.
Physical Exam: There is a postural imbalance; the angle between the ear hole and the shoulder tip exceeds 15 degrees.
Pulse: Wiry, tight, and rapid (bilaterally);
Left: Pulse gathers at the guan and chi positions, long chi pulse.
Right: Similar pattern, with roughness (choppy sensation) at the 45° angle at the guan and chi.
Tongue: Dark red, enlarged with teeth marks, gums appear dark.
Treatment Plan:
Herbal Prescription:
Xiao Xu Ming Tang (Minor Life-Preserving Decoction)
Plus: Kudzu root (Ge Gen), Poria (Fu Ling)
Acupuncture Points:
Hua Tuo Jiaji points at T1–T5
Fengchi (GB20), Fengfu (DU16), Yifeng (SJ17)
Result:
The patient had previously visited Western medical hospitals across Vancouver without any definitive diagnosis. After one session of acupuncture treatment with me, the symptoms immediately disappeared. I prescribed one week of herbal decoction for further tonification. When he accompanied his wife to my clinic yesterday, he reported that there has been no recurrence even after stopping the herbs. The result was remarkably fast and effective.When the Western medicine hospital still wanted to check whether the thyroid was affecting the heart rhythm, the treatment had already been completed.
