The Walk for Alzheimer’s is taking place on May 31st in White Rock & are looking for volunteers! 💙💙💙If you’ve ever been thinking about volunteering & have a few hours to spare, this is a great and very important cause.

🌷🐣 Happy Easter! 🐰
A week full of smiles, laughter, and a little Easter magic 💛
Our Egg Scavenger Hunt kept the excitement going all week long 🥚🎉 Residents enjoyed the fun, surprises, and friendly competition!
We wrapped it all up with our Bunny Hop Prize Draw 🐇🎁 and got creative building a charming Easter Village together 🏡🌸

Well, it’s official—we’re all done with our renovations! 🎉
Hello to brand new floors and carpet in the West Lounge and Dining Room, plus beautiful new furniture and artwork to match! ✨
A huge thank you to our contractors, staff, and of course our wonderful residents for their flexibility and patience throughout the process—we truly appreciate you! ❤️
Now it’s time to reopen and celebrate! 🎀
We were especially honoured to have our longtime resident Kay—who has called Sunnyside home for over 10 years and is an incredible 104 years young—join us to cut the ribbon! ✂️

We had a great time celebrating—and just in time, our brand new floors got their grand debut… thanks to some amazing tap dancing! 💃🕺
A big thank you to School of Irish Dance for bringing the energy, rhythm, and a little extra Irish magic to our home! ☘️🎶

🦫 Happy Groundhog Day from Sunnyside Manor!
What a rainy day it turned out to be — the perfect excuse to stay cozy indoors and enjoy a sweet activity together ☔💛
Today our residents took part in Dirt Pie Dessert Cup Making, and it was lots of fun! From crushing cookies to layering pudding and adding whipped cream, there were plenty of smiles (and a few happy taste testers 😄).
Our simple Dirt Pie recipe:
🍫 Chocolate pudding
🍪 Crushed Oreo cookies
☁️ Whipped cream
🐛Gummy worms
Easy to make, fun to decorate, and delicious to enjoy!

We truly value residents who give back by sharing their time, passions, and talents. We believe this not only enriches life at Sunnyside Manor, but also brings deeper meaning and purpose to everyday living.

With Christmas baking and wreath making, many wonderful children’s visits, cheerful performances, festive gatherings, a visit from Santa 🎅, and a joyful Christmas Dinner, the holiday spirit is truly in the air.
