Body Circuit was established in 2005 as a woman-owned business in Surrey, BC, and the Langley area, which offers individualized attention to our clients. We exist to help our clients restore and maintain balance in body, mind, spirit, and relationships through education, awareness, and support. Body Circuit offers an array of modalities, including Touch for Health, Reiki, Chakradance (sacred dance), fitness and nutrition coaching, chakra balancing, and energy & frequency healing. If this month showed you anything, let it be that waiting does not get you closer to your goals. Every week you put it off is a week you could have already been feeling stronger, sleeping better, and showing up more like yourself.

She almost did not sign up. She told me she was not sure she was fit enough for boot camp. That she had tried group fitness before and always felt like she was falling behind.

One month later, she sent me a message saying she had not missed a single session and could not believe how much stronger she already felt.

Week one, you show up. Maybe a little nervous, maybe wondering if you belong there. You do.

Week two, you start to feel it. More energy. Sleeping better. Standing a little taller.

Week three, something shifts. You stop dreading it and start looking forward to it.

Week four, you cannot imagine not doing it.

FACT: Strength training is your best friend for aging strong, feeling confident, and boosting your energy! 💪

As our bodies change, our routines need to adapt. Extreme cardio sessions can leave us feeling drained. Strength training, on the other hand, actively boosts your resting metabolism, improves your mood, and builds the confidence that comes with knowing just how strong you really are.

Taking your workout outside isn't just a change of scenery, and it’s a powerful way to challenge your resilience and ground your spirit. But trading the gym floor for grass or gravel requires a little extra mindfulness to keep you safe and strong.

Here is how to get the most out of your outdoor sessions this month:

Embrace the Uneven Ground: Unlike a flat treadmill, natural terrain varies. This is a gift! It wakes up your stabilizer muscles and improves balance. Just remember to slow down and place your feet with intention.

Layer with Love: March weather can be unpredictable. Wear layers you can easily shed as your inner fire builds. Comfort is key to focus.

Use Your Environment: The world is your gym. A park bench is perfect for step-ups (make sure they are dry) or triceps dips. A sturdy tree branch can help with stretching. Get creative and see potential everywhere. Or hit your local playground and release that inner child.

Listen to Your Body: The fresh air can sometimes mask fatigue. Stay hydrated and check in with yourself often.

Taking your fitness outdoors is about more than burning calories; it’s about connecting with the elements and your own strength.

This time of year always feels like a deep, cleansing breath. Behind the scenes, I am not just spring cleaning my home, I am spring cleaning my soul. This means revisiting my own wellness goals, journaling about what I want to release, and creating space for new growth.

For me, that looks like:
Waking up a little earlier for quiet meditation.
Trading heavy winter meals for fresh, vibrant foods.
Taking my workouts outside to connect with the season's energy.

It’s a gentle reminder that our journeys, like nature, move in cycles. It's okay to have seasons of rest and seasons of renewal. This is a time to respect the progress you have made and plant the seeds for what’s to come.
