So I used a spice that was previously a summer spice that is no longer in rotation apparently as I typed in Jamaican Jive into The Epicure website and what came up was jerk chicken ....

I believe Jamaican Jive was the answer to jerk chicken years ago

Anyhow after yesterday's trip to carnaval de sol and seeing that one of the vendors was selling jerk chicken with coconut rice and peas for about $16 a plate and you only get two chicken thighs, well I was inspired

I'm not sure why I've never made this but oh my God! 🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤

Crispy crunchy coated chicken thighs done in the air fryer

Chicken thighs - bone in skin on ...skin was peeled off (don't need the extra fat and calories)

Chicken coated with vegan mayo ...it's what I had 🤷🏾‍♀️

Super flavorful
Crispy and crunchy

If you love fried chicken and have been avoiding it, this is a great way to make it at home and enjoy it

Get creative with your food ... Some of these creations in the video may not seem to be the most appealing but he thought outside of the box

Personally I like the take on potatoes with thought makeshift version of scalloped potatoes and leftover ham ...

Sometimes you have things left in the freezer or odds and ends here and there and you just need to transform them with a little imagination and magic ✨🪄

✔️ Souvlaki * which is now discontinued 🤬

Baby potatoes:
Boiled and cooked in evoo, garlic butter and SPG

🌮 Monday ... couldn't wait for Tuesday 🌮

Build your own taco bar:

White corn tortillas
Coleslaw mixed with jalapeno ranch
Chopped Roma tomatoes
Cilantro and green onions
Black beans
Cotija cheese
Sour cream
Valentina hot sauce

Chicken breast cooked in taco 🌮 seasoning (this is a favourite of mine)

Prep to serving ...35 mins or so

This meal is always a favourite when my GFs come over for a visit 🤤🥰

Looks like Joey was denied yet again, "auntie whyyyyy??"

🍝 Spaghetti Bolognese 🍝

Tried this one ...was highly anticipating this what's for dinner packet from Epicure ...

Verdict: 👎🏽
I'm not a fan
I found this to be super bland ...I had to add a tonne of spices to it and I added mushrooms

My homemade sauce takes less work, it's loaded with flavor and veggies as well it can be made with or without vegan or ground meat and it tastes amazing 🤤 it's always a winner with the people I share it with

What I did like about this epicure bolognese is that it had that "vegan crumble" to mimic meat and it was filling

My Epicure customers like easy and flavorful, this is one item I will not recommend unless they are wanting that extra protein boost if they are vegan or vegetarian...otherwise I would suggest just getting the marinara mix, minced garlic, spg, toasted onion, red chili flakes and a can of crushed tomatoes

Even Joey is questioning of he wants it or not lol
