Join us on Wednesday, October 15 at 10:00am for a visit from the Sussex Fire Department! They will be talking about fire prevention, and there will be a fire truck on-site (pending truck availability).

This year, Canada will mark Fire Prevention Week from October 5 to 11.This is a week to emphasize preparedness, to review your home safety plan and to make sure you have the proper amount of functioning smoke alarms.

This year’s National Fire Prevention Week theme is, “Charge into Fire Safety: Lithium-Ion Batteries in Your Home” which highlights the risks if these batteries aren’t used correctly or if they are damaged.
