Happy Dietitians Day to our very own Registered Dietitian, Ingrid! 🥳🍎
At GNPLC, we are so incredibly grateful to have Ingrid’s expertise on our team. A huge part of what makes our care so effective is how closely our Dietitian works alongside our Nurse Practitioners (NPs) to improve patient outcomes. By combining medical and nutritional expertise, we’re able to provide a truly integrated approach to long-term health for patients in all life stages! 🩺🤝
Swipe through to see what being an RD is all about! While we love celebrating the fun side—like Ingrid’s excitement over a new air fryer 🎁🍟 (because yes, RDs love "real" food too!)—the reality of the role goes so much deeper than just meal plans or the debunking "food police" myths. Dietitians like Ingrid are the ONLY REGULATED nutrition experts in healthcare, bringing a massive range of science and clinical knowledge to our clinic. 🧬🔬
From biochemistry and human physiology to pharmacology, microbiology, and psychology, it takes 4.5 to 6 years of university education plus a competitive and rigorous internship program AND writing the national registration exam to earn the RD title. This specialized training allows Registered Dietitians, like Ingrid, to move past trendy "wellness" rules and instead advocate for realistic, sustainable eating patterns that truly improve the quality of life for our patients. ❤️
Thank you, Ingrid, for your heart, your hard work, and for helping our community build a better, more nourished relationship with food! 🙌🌱
