❄️ Did you know? When the ferries aren’t running, healthcare doesn’t stop.
Fun fact ✅️: Our Nurse Practitioners and Dietitian travel across the frozen lake by side-by-sides to provide care on the Georgina Island on weekly and monthly basis outside our clinic on the mainland!🏥🚙
Here’s a little peek into a day in the life of getting to and from the Island during the freezing cold winter months. And yes—it’s safe! If full-size pickup trucks are out plowing the snow, that means the ice is thick enough to cross (you can even hear the driver mention it in the second video 😉).
Huge props to the Georgina Island community for working hard to keep access open for residents and staff—now that’s teamwork 💙❄️
