⚫️🔸 INTRODUCING KELSEY 🔸⚫️

Hey, I’m Kelsey — a Registered Massage Therapist who has been practicing since 2014.

I grew up in Naicam, Saskatchewan before moving to Swift Current in my teens, and I completed my massage therapy training at the Western College of Remedial Massage Therapies.

Over the last decade, I’ve worked in a variety of clinic settings, including chiropractic, physiotherapy, and multidisciplinary spaces, which has given me a wide range of experience supporting people through pain, stress, injury, and major life transitions.
I’m passionate about making healthcare approachable and helping people feel informed and supported throughout their treatment. I love working with all kinds of patients, but I have a special interest in prenatal care. Pregnancy is an incredible experience, and being able to support people through the physical changes, discomforts, and demands of that journey is one of the most rewarding parts of my job.

My approach to treatment is built on communication, education, and collaboration. I want patients to understand what’s happening in their bodies and what I’m doing in the treatment room — because when people feel informed and involved, they tend to feel more comfortable and confident in their care. I always encourage questions and take the time to explain my thought process so each session feels safe, transparent, and tailored to your needs. I also strongly believe that patients who participate in their own recovery — through home protocols, regular care, and understanding their role in the process — tend to see the best long-term outcomes.

Outside the clinic, my world revolves around my family. I love spending time with my husband, our kids, and our dog — whether we’re out walking, playing, or relaxing at home together.

Fun fact: I studied karate for years and was training for my brown belt before Covid interrupted my testing… someday I plan to go back and earn that black belt.

🧡 We are SO lucky to have Kelsey on our team. Head to our website or call the clinic to book a massage therapy appointment with her!

Happy Family Day! 🧑‍🧑‍🧒🫶🏻

Family Day is a reminder to slow down, spend time with the people who matter most, and step away from the usual routine. Time to rest, connect, and recharge plays an important role in overall health and well-being.

Resistance training isn’t just about getting stronger—it’s about protecting your health over the long term.

Regular strength training has benefits across multiple systems: improving blood sugar control, supporting heart health, maintaining bone density, strengthening tendons, preserving muscle mass, and contributing to better mental health and sleep. These effects matter at every age, not just later in life.

You don’t need extreme programs or perfect technique to start seeing benefits. What matters most is consistency, appropriate loading, and choosing movements that fit your current ability and goals.

Strength training is one of the most effective tools we have for maintaining function, independence, and resilience as we age.🏋️‍♀️

Winter makes walking harder—but not impossible.

Cold, ice, and short days are real barriers, especially here. The goal isn’t perfection or long distances. It’s finding practical ways to keep moving safely and consistently through the winter months.

That might mean:

Walking indoors at malls or stores

Choosing pet-friendly spaces and bringing your dog along

Using community programs like indoor walking tracks

Improving traction with affordable ice cleats or crampons

You don’t need ideal conditions for walking to be worthwhile. Short, manageable walks still support joint health, cardiovascular fitness, balance, and mental well-being.

Adapt the environment. Lower the barrier. Keep it simple.🚶

Walking is one of the simplest ways to support your health—and one of the easiest habits to overlook.

You don’t need to feel motivated first. Small, practical strategies can lower the barrier to getting started:

Build it into your routine

Walk with others for accountability

Set reminders and prepare your environment

Keep the goal realistic and flexible

Consistency matters more than distance or pace. Short walks still count. Over time, they add up to meaningful benefits for physical health, mental well-being, and confidence with movement.

Big journeys really do start with small steps. 🚶

Walking is one of the most accessible forms of physical activity—and one of the most effective.

You don’t need special equipment, a gym membership, or a perfect routine to benefit. Regular walking supports cardiovascular health, joint function, bone density, mental health, and long-term mobility. Small amounts add up, and consistency matters far more than intensity.

If you’re dealing with pain, stiffness, or low confidence with movement, walking is often a practical place to start. It can be adjusted to your pace, your environment, and your current capacity—and progressed as your tolerance improves.

Movement doesn’t need to be complicated to be beneficial. Walking counts.🚶🏻‍♀️
