A Surprise Visit from a Real Cowboy 🤠 and His Horse 🐴 !

This past week at Miners Memorial Manor, our residents and Carefield Manor were enjoying a fun-filled afternoon horse race program as part of our Summer Olympics Week. All of our residents competing for another metal to be one step closer to winning our Summer Olympics trophy.

But then, something truly special happened.

To everyone’s surprise, a real cowboy rode in on horseback! Residents and staff were thrilled to see Ken Jardine and his beautiful horse Beau 🐴. Ken and Beau wowed the crowd with impressive tricks, shared stories, and posed for photos with smiling faces all around. It was a moment of pure joy and our residents won’t soon forget.

We would like to extend our thanks to Ken Jardine, Beau, and the Highland Highwaymen Club for making such a meaningful impact during our Summer Olympics Week.

If you’d like to see them in action, they’ll be at the Cape Breton Exhibition from August 12th–16th. Don’t miss this chance to experience the same excitement and warmth they brought to our home.
