Massage Therapy treats specific conditions affecting the body as a whole. It is beneficial to decrease muscle tension and muscle knots, headaches, acute and chronic pain, TMJ dysfunction, injury from motor vehicle accidents, arthritis pain, tendonitis, frozen shoulder and sciatic nerve pain, to name a few. Massage Therapy performed on a person increases muscle flexibility and relaxation, and decreases stress levels. The psychological effect is increased well being that usually occurs with positive touch.
