I think we underestimate how much the body craves this

quiet
stillness
something real to lean into

in Chinese medicine, spring is the season of the wood element
growth, movement, direction

but before anything grows
it roots

if you’ve been feeling off, irritable, stuck, or emotional lately
your body might not need more discipline
it might just need grounding

acupuncture does this in its own way
but so does this

My favourite point out of the 361 in the body ✨🤍
Yin Tang (印堂)

The space between the brows
The place of stillness
The exhale you didn’t know you were holding

Used to:
calm the spirit
soften anxiety
quiet the mind
support deep sleep

A portal for intuition
A pause between thoughts
A gentle return to yourself

Press here when the world feels loud 🤍

The Spring Equinox is the moment day and night come into balance — marking the shift from winter into spring, yin to yang.

Spiritually, it represents renewal, new beginnings, and the return of light.

In Traditional Chinese Medicine, spring is connected to the Wood element and the Liver — the energy of growth, movement, and vision.

It’s a season that encourages us to clear stagnation, start fresh, and move forward.

Receiving acupuncture at this time is believed to help the body realign with nature’s shifting energy, supporting smoother transitions between seasons and promoting harmony within the body. 🌿⚖️

Today is International Women’s Day.

For generations, women have been the quiet keepers of healing — tending to families, communities, and one another. Passing down knowledge, holding space, listening, nurturing, and restoring.

Even today, women make up nearly 70% of the global health and care workforce.

So much of the world’s healing still moves through the hands and hearts of women.

There is something deeply powerful about that — a thread that connects us to the matriarchs and healers who came before us.

Today is a day to honour the women who care, support, guide, and hold space for others every day.

May we continue to uplift one another and remember the strength of women in community. 🌿

There’s a quiet magic in the way the body knows how to heal itself.

I’ve always found it amazing that such a small, subtle intervention can create such a significant shift.

In TCM, we aren’t “fixing” something that is broken; we are simply clearing the path so your own energy can find its way home.

When I’m in the room, I’m not just looking at symptoms—I’m looking at the story your body is telling. Whether it’s the way your pulse moves or the tension held in a specific channel, every detail is a piece of a larger picture.

I’m constantly in awe of this medicine. It’s a reminder that we don’t always need “more”—sometimes we just need to come back into balance.

Just a little reflection from the treatment room today. I hope you’re finding a moment of balance in your own space today, too. 🤍

I wanted to give my patients advance notice that my treatment rates will be increasing slightly starting April 1st.

As my practice continues to grow and evolve, so does the investment required to maintain the quality of care, continuing education, and the treatment space I hold for you.

I am deeply committed to offering thoughtful, individualized care rooted in both Traditional Chinese Medicine and current research — supporting your nervous system, hormones, digestion, and overall wellbeing.

Appointments booked before April 1st will be honoured at the current rate.

Thank you for supporting my small business and allowing me to do this work. It truly means so much.

Your pulse tells a story.

In TCM, pulse diagnosis is a way of listening to the body’s quiet language — the rhythms beneath the surface that reveal how your organs, energy, and emotions are moving together.

Each quality carries meaning.

A wiry pulse can reflect held tension.
A weak pulse may speak to depletion.
A slippery pulse can point to dampness accumulating.
A rapid pulse often signals internal heat.

These patterns often show up before symptoms fully form.

When we feel the pulse, we’re not just checking a heartbeat — we’re feeling the state of your inner landscape.

Subtle signals → intentional support → the body returning to balance. 🤍

Fire cupping marks aren’t bruises — they’re feedback.

One of the most common questions I get is,
“Is that colour normal?”

The answer is almost always yes — and the colour actually tells us something.

In Traditional Chinese Medicine, the shade that rises to the surface reflects what’s happening beneath it — circulation, stagnation, fluid accumulation, and the vitality of the tissue.

From a biomedical lens, cupping increases local blood flow and brings underlying patterns to the surface. What you’re seeing is information.

The marks are temporary.
The shift underneath is what matters.

If your body’s been asking for relief, this might be your sign 🤍

Goji berries (gou qi zi) are cherished as a tonic herb that nourishes, restores, and replenishes.

They’re sweet in flavor and neutral in nature, meaning they can be used year-round, though they’re especially beneficial in colder seasons when the body craves warmth and nourishment.

Goji berries are known to:

Nourish Liver + Kidney Yin: supporting hormonal balance, fertility, and long-term vitality.

Enrich the Blood: helping with dizziness, dry eyes, or pale complexion.

Support vision: in TCM, the Liver “opens into the eyes,” and goji berries are said to brighten and strengthen eyesight.

Boost Qi + Jing (essence): improving energy, stamina, and overall resilience.

You’ll often find them in herbal teas, soups, or congee. Not just for their sweetness, but for their deep restorative qualities.
